Thanks for this! But just to clarify, this is more than just an up-sampling of the 16-bit/44.1 kHz commercial release?

Yes. Listen and tell me what you think. I didn't remove every single artifact, but most of it and the noise and dropouts. It's early for me. I need more coffee.

Spectre8770......For years and years, I only had the mono LP of this score. When the 3-disc commercial release came out, I could not believe it. Now having it in high rez audio is even more unbelievable. The sound quality is excellent. Thanks so much.

This is a great score. Anything that Hans Zimmer does in The Bible is less than a piss on dog poop in comparison. Only it's less.

Spectre, how do I open the file "1965 - The Greatest Story Ever Told.7z.001"? If I change the extension to ".7z" or ".rar" it says that the archive is corrupt...

Please, help!

Thanks

Spectre8750
06-21-2014, 10:45 PM
That is a multi-part archive. You need all three parts in one directory, then open the first file with the password. Don't change the extension. Use 7zip to open them.

Nicola

Thanks Spectre! For some reason WinRAR (which I use to de-compress everything) does't work with these archives.

Spectre8750

You need 7zip www.7Zip.org It's free

WinRar works for me. But don't remove the .001 extension - just right-click and select "Extract here", or run WinRar and open one of the files.

Nicola
06-22-2014, 11:36 AM
I associated that “.001” extension to WinRAR. The voice “extract here” is enabled for the context menu but is NOT there when I press the right button. It IS there when I do the right clic over any other rar archive. With (left) double clic it says that the archive is corrupt...

7zip worked just fine.

I've allways had trouble with WinRar working with encrypted 7z files.

Spectre,

I got this a while ago, and finally got around to listening to it today. My only regret is not giving it a listen sooner! You did an amazing job with this. A step-up from the CD for sure! Thanks for this, and for everything else you generously contribute.
