So u'd rather have an official soundtrack that doesn't fully 2-loop compared to a soundtrack that is 2-looped? I don't get u, dood. I really don't...

On the other hand, it could be useful for the 8-bit stuff. Some of the 8-bit stuff didn't sound too right for me when I looped em.

It's the fact that it's OFFICIAL is the reason that I want it. The best possible quality straight from the guy who created it. I couldn't give TWO S**TS about the fact that it's not fully two-looped, because I can do that myself!! (I'm very proficient with Goldwave.)

What I haven't told ya was that when I first found the soundtrack, a bit of research led me to it coming directly from the PC version with the MP3 files on the disc, so even if ya did get the official soundtrack, it would sound no different than what already exists here.

Just to clarify mostly just for myself and my own reasons for wanting the official OST.....It might not be the case, but with a lot of stored VGM files on pc games (even for some console games) the music is compressed, or played at a lower than ideal frequency. While for most casual listeners that would leave little to no difference, audiophiles would take issue with tracks that are unmastered and compressed for file size reasons. It would be a waste of time and space for developers to use perfectly mastered, uncompressed music when while being processed by the game the "perfect" sound would be inaudible anyway. Just a nitpicky reason mostly. I don't pretend to know how any of this actually works on a technical level, but I have ripped games in the past and more often than not the music is compressed below what an audiophile would call acceptable. A lot of games also use different file types, such as FF14 and its .ogg encoded music. On a VERY basic level ogg vorbis will give you higher per bit quality over mp3 encoding. The reencode process back to mp3 would result in yet another degradation in quality. it's small, but it does get picked up on high end sound equipment as static/hissing/distortion

That's pretty much why I prefer original OSTs over gamerips, and especially why I want this official OST.

Just be sure to re-upload after you do your "proficiency" with Goldwave.

Yes, in a sense, I am. You act like buying this soundtrack yourself is going to break you financially. $9.49 is not that much. But if you insist on waiting for it, you should do your looping magic on it and re-upload here for everyone else to enjoy. After all, you didn't pay for it yourself, so that's the least you could do.

Tell you what... I'm feeling extra generous at the moment. I'll buy the soundtrack and upload it tonight. However, you must properly and perfectly loop every song as you say you can.

Fair enough; I can respect your tenacity for quality. Just remember that nobody on the internet can make you keep your word on anything. It's time like this that build your character as a person and contributor on the forums. The path you choose to give back to the community is on you once you download it.

Hey, Arigeitsu, after listening to the soundtrack, I noticed that some songs are already properly looped (like Scrooge's Office and the two boss themes). Did you want me to not worry about those or just loop 'em again anyway?
