Note: this has been on my wishlist for years and upon its arrival in my mailbox and after finding its way into my CD drive, I am happy to report that this is the first album I've bought in quite some time that required absolutely no changes to anything about it. This is as it was released and contains no modifications from the original source. FLAC WILL NOT be offered from me until the CD goes out of print.

Many many MANY thanks go out to LaLaLand Records and the wonderful crew there that makes releases like these possible. It was going through the grapevine for a few years but glad to know that it wasn't a joke. Sorry that I'm costing you money LaLaLand but this release simply cannot be missed by any of the fans whom may not be able to afford the CD. Hopefully you'll grant me this opportunity to help broaden awareness of your label to newcomers and not request a link deletion. I will if asked but please don't ask. It's all I ask.

This score makes me feel so many things but one of those is the desire to wanna talk about it. It's such a fun score. If you're using Chrome, should work fine. If not, try incognito mode. If you're not using Chrome and don't wanna switch, try Firefox. I wouldn't recommend using IE AT ALL considering its serious security flaws right now. If you have to resort to anything, try Safari. If you have iTunes, you should have the option to install it via the updates screen.

And to answer your request: I was about 4 years old when the film came out, and I saw it a few years later on television. We taped it. I saw it again. And again. And again. In past 21 years I've seen it so many times, I can almost dream it, sequence for sequence. Christopher Lloyd was amazing as Switchblade Sam and he made (and still does) me laugh more than any other in the film. Walter Matthau wasn't boring either, but Lloyd was my favorite.

Seen the film twice, loved it both times, need to pull it out and watch it again, though :P

Was a big fan of the original TV series, and was quite worried that any 'Dad-Blamed Modern Remake' would ruin it, but I have to say that they done good with the production and the choice of actors. Walter Matthau was a near-perfect Mr. Wilson, little Mason Gamble did an outstanding job of portraying Dennis, with just the right combination of innocence and mischief, and Christopher Lloyd was, well, Christopher Lloyd - 'nuff said!

I have the 14-track Big Screen Records release of the soundtrack, but the LaLaLand Expanded Score would be a very welcome addition, nay, replacement!

Wow... had no idea this release existed. Dennis the Menace is my earliest memory of Goldsmith's music, and even though people would argue (rightly so) it remains one of my all-time favorites of his. I've always been more attracted to the sound of late-90's Goldsmith and beyond than anything prior, and unlike the 'Burbs or Gremlins, both of which I find obnoxious or even downright grating, this music is sublime pretty much throughout. I wasn't expecting this release to be as huge as say Steve Jablonsky's Battleship. I got just about as many requests for that when I posted it as I have Dennis. I expect that fewer are disappointed with this.

I must have seen the movie in 2000, took me a while to realize that emmet brown was in it but i did remember perfectly that i wanted ( still want ) to live in that lovely town... everything is so perfect that its almost heartbreaking.
I ended up on that forum because i had been looking for the score and god that was fucking hard to find...
and now a LLL edition, this is great!

Link received! Thanks so much. I'll be ordering this CD this week. LOVE this score. I can't even remember if I've seen the whole movie or not. I've seen bits and pieces of it, but i don't think I've ever seen the whole movie. I originally got this score because Goldsmith did it. I knew it would be great, but to me it's extra awesome because it's one of the few comedy scores Goldsmith ever did. He really had fun with it, I'd say. I love light hearted scores. I love heavy/moodystuff too, but I'm a pretty upbeat guy and can only handle the heavy drama for so long. That's why a light heated score from one of the all-time greats is so special in my humble opinion.
