This is a bootleg of John Scott’s score for the offbeat 1972 western starring Gregory Peck and Desi Arnaz Jr. The composer was planning to release this on his own label many years ago, but nothing came of it (so far).

Sound quality is OK - bright and clear, not muffled - but it’s a boot so don’t expect perfection.

One track is a combination of the boot and music I had to lift from the DVD. I always liked the music just before the end titles, but it didn’t exist on the boot, so I was forced to create a hybrid track… you can hear the faint thump of horse hooves and the chink of stirrups for a few seconds.

I bunged some artwork together so that’s included in the download. It’s a subtle score, and one that’s probably appreciated more if you’ve seen the movie. Enjoy!

John Scott is such a underrated composer - although one of those old school multitalented composers
with compositions not only for feature films, but also for TV and documentaries - not to forget
