Bruno Nicolai (Rome, 20 May 1926 - Rome, 16 August 1991) was an Italian film music composer, orchestra director and musical editor most active in the 1960s through the 1980s. While studying piano and composition at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, he befriended Ennio Morricone and formed a long working relationship, with Nicolai eventually conducting for and co-scoring films with Morricone. Nicolai also scored a number of giallo exploitation films and wrote a large number of scores for director Jess Franco.

Well, I guess there're still some debates on this.

My opinion for Un Bianco Vestito Per Mariale co-works Nicolai and Fiorenzo Carpi, their score's style same like Nicolai's giallo scores. Nicolai in this case wasnt just conductor, but arranger too, therefore I think so, He was co-artist with Carpi.
Corri, Uomo, Corri composed by Bruno Nicolai, Morricone was just so called supervisor, like music editor, or producer.

Corri, Uomo, Corri sounds very morricone to me. I remember an interview of Sergio Sollima saying that Nicolai signed it because complicated tax purposes.

Anyway it's a wonderful Bruno Morricone soundtrack.

The funniest stuff is about Shanghai Joe: both titles (departure and my name is) are in fact extracted from 2 Sartana's soundtracks, both from Nicolai and posted here. If you are nice enough, I'll post the new GDM edition soon (only 1 bonus track)

The movie Vergogna Schifosi from 1968 or 1969 has music composed by Morricone, and although Nicolai doesn't seem to be credited on the LP sleeve, a 7-inch single released at the time credits “I Cantori Moderni Di Alessandroni, Orchestra diretta da Bruno Nicolai”. That would suggest that Nicolai may have conducted the rest of the LP too. It's a great Morricone score, with Edda Dell'Orso at her incredible best.

The thing about lossless is the size. As I already have everything I ripped in CD, I dont create a .flac cause my harddrive will explode. I am not only collecting italian soundtracks, but also jazz, funk, classical... That is why.

Leaving flacs on my harddrive would indeed 'explode my harddrive.'
The hairs on the back of my neck went up when I read ' I am not only collecting italian soundtracks, but also jazz, funk, classical... That is why.'
Spookily, my main choice of listening (apart from Italian OST) is jazz, funk(especially Blaxploitation) and dipping into 'wimpel69's COULD-BE-FILM-MUSIC _CLASSICAL CORNER, and also old 40's 50's musicals (courtesy of turner6).
It may be sacrilege but after downloading any flac, through neccessity, I have to transform it into MP3 in order to be able to accomodate future downloads.

I respect your opinion, but I disagree with him because lossless compression depends on the type of music. I 'm a fan of jazz, also.
For all that kind of music that you mentioned some compressors (eg. tak, monkey audio, optimfrog) provide excellent results, about 40-45 percent of the size of the disk (FLAC is a little more robust). The problem is in the fast music eg. dance, italo disco, pop where the results do not exceed 70%.

Regardless, my point is not to keep their editions on hard drive in lossless format but to help us who are lovers lossless compression that we thread comes alive, especially because we share the same passion for spaghetti music.

I thought, lorddandy, to share with us at least some disk in flac because I do not have much originaly cd's (about thirty). If you want to do it that, now you know where, I will be very grateful to you. You do not have to keep them on you hard drive, but only on mega clou drive some time.

If you do not want to again thank you for your understanding.
