I was just sitting in my chair earlier, thinking about the old days. You know, back when games were fresh and original. What a wonderful time that was. Nowadays, 80% of game releases are sequels; more of the same shit. 19% are games released that just rip off the formula that the more popular games (you know, the ones that get 10 sequels) use to cash in on their popularity. This leaves 1% for innovation and fun. Games like Gitaroo Man, Magic Pengel, and Katamari Damacy go unnoticed because you fags are too busy buying up the latest and greatest versions of Mega Man and Final Fantasy. YOU ARE PLAYING THE SAME DAMNED GAME OVER AND OVER. STOP IT.

It is because of YOU that we see no innovation and creative ideas in the games industry.

It's not my fucking fault. If something is shit I damn it so, one game at a time.

Check my house, I've got gitaroo man, samba de amigo, a dreamcast, and all sorts of innovative shit.

I agree with you though. Every time I see someone buy a football game, or every generic RPG that comes out of the stable (that's FF too, these days), or hey, maybe Enter the Matrix, I feel sick.

It's not our faults that we see no innovation and creative games these days.

If companies would actually spend some time and thought into thinking of an original game from time to time, yeah that would be really nice. But, they are just too lazy about it. That's why you see all these sequels and such. Besides, people have to buy something, and all these uninnovated games are what are being sold today.

It is more that they know sequels will sell (because morons keep buying them) than it is that they have no original ideas. A new Final Fantasy will more than likely sell more copies than an entirely new game, nah meen?

Congratulations, you have just described virtually every consumer industry in the world.

We don't have any beatmania machines down here :(

We do have guitar freaks, however. Playing hair metal on that game is two kinds of awesome.
