“I play two instruments. The piano and the orchestra, and the orchestra is a wonderful instrument to play.”
Erich Wolfgang Korngold

These recordings by Caspar Richter are amongst the finest interpretations of Korngold’s music that I have ever heard. They are making a reappearance here as MP3 files. Gather these rose buds while ye may.

And remember, my little Bunnies, that TOMORROW comes from the film THE CONSTANT NYMPH which was thought lost for nearly 60 years. As it turns out the estates of the original screenwriters and that of the original book had to be appeased after all this time. So only recently has this film appeared on DVD. It is a wonderful investment and Korngold's music is stunning throughout. A poster for his Tote Stadt even appears in the background during an early scene. It is quite fascinating to SEE Korngold's music performed at the end of the film...

Obelix... you are my latest best friend. Petros, of course, has always held this title. ;-)

Oh, and you are right, of course!

We are lucky, because (as Odysseus Elytis has said):
And high upon our lookout mast we keep for sentry one
who ever and anon remains our Sun our Sovereign Sun,

Some months ago a gal said I was her 'sunshine'. Maybe it is the same thing? Hell, I'll take it! ;-)

Some months ago?
Lucky you!
I haven't heard something like that for the last 35 years.

Of course you will take it!

More than a little late myself. But I can't say enough how beautiful this share was. To anyone who missed it like myself, find out why its a tragedy to be lamented that you weren't here in time!

Thanks primarily to Phideas1! Continue to follow your conscience. It has done well.

To Petros also, thanks for the cover photos.

Lordtalien has moved me deeply with such words... and I think I found a link that works. I sent it via private PM.
