The Landing because when you couple it with the FMV it gives the feel of an invasion where new troops are going into their first battle. IMHO the best music/FMV combo in the entire series.

My favorites are "Liberi Fatali" and "Eyes on me". But also the song at the parade, and the last battle song (don't know their names) :)

Definitly The Landing. As someone said before, it sets the atomsphere of the SeeD exam in Dollet and is truly one of the best parts in any FF.

Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec was my favorite -- the song played during Edea's parade, when all the people were dancing :D

that song was played at a party I went to recently xD. It was this fancy party where everybody was dancing-- kind of like the party in FF8 xD;; It was at some ballroom in a hotel o.o;

I like the music when you first go to the ragnarok, and i also like the battle music when u fight a boss, cant actually remember how it goes though....all i remember is i like it :/

no man with a machine gum is lagunas fight music so it cant be of seven but the boss music is cool

Definitely Liberi fatali and Waltz for the Moon. Those two are the best. I could listen to them forever. The orchestra who played em is marvelous. And the choir who sang Liberi Fatali sends me the shivers. They're fantastic!

i think nobuo uematsu is an amazing composer. he brings the games to life with his beautiful music. in my opinion, this game has the best ost.

my fave songs off of it are:

I <3 Julia's Piano version of 'Eyes on me' ... It's so beautifully done. Also, Eyes on me is a wonderful song too. Those two are my favorites, save for 'Winhill'

I like it all and can't bring myself to point out any particular song. They all just work for me. It was my first FF that I played, so it kind of set the precedent.

I haven't finished playing the whole game, but I've listened to a bunch of midi's.... waltz for the moon (cause i can play it on my violin ^_^) and that song that comes up when you're on the screen after a battle that gives out the exp and ap points... Oh! And liberi fatali, cause it's got to be one of the coolest intro's i've seen to a video game, other than the Kingdom Hearts one ^_^

There goes... As usual in FF series, the music is very uneven. There are some wonderful, battle themes (Liberi Fatali (probably the best track FF series ever had), The Landing and it's grown-up brother, Garden vs Garden, The Extreme, The Legendary Beast) as well as many songs that make me shivers (in negative aspect, of course ;]) like whole what-was-its-name futuristic city theme, Pandora music and Galbadia Garden track.

If we talk about the good, but not great ones... Premonition, Heresy, Force Your Way, Movin, Retaliation and The Stage Is Set.

IMO overall, FF8 has the best music out of all FF series.

Eyes on Me (Not only is this the worst vocal I've ever heard, the singer, Faye Wong, is incredibly unbearable to listen to. I don't know how this piece won a prestigous award. An Instrumental version is much more tolerable)

I liked Compression of Time and the two concert songs.

The battle themes were simply awesome and really created a good atmosphere for battle.
