A while back I purchased a box set of the popular 70's western series Alias Smith and Jones.

What struck me was how un-western the incidental music was. It was more like Lalo Schifrin's work on the Dirty Harry movies. Unfortunately there isn't a soundtrack available and according to a contact at FSM, there probably won't be as it's owned by Universal.

Anyway I extracted a couple of cues from the DVD so you have an idea what it could have been like. Sorry I couldn't extract the effects, but it was a mono original

Thank you for the link. Do you think you could do more? cause it's very good stuff. You're right, very "un-western"... a very 70's score!

I'll certainly try, though it's tough finding clean cues that don't have a lot of dialogue and FX on them.
