To aid in their quest, they are given two powerful magic wands called Kaleidosticks: Magical Ruby and Magical Sapphire. However, due to their inability to get along, the wands leave them and seek out new masters. Ruby quickly discovers Illyasviel von Einzbern, a regular elementary school student. Despite her protests, Ruby turns her into a magical girl!
