I think that he was a well thought-out character....slightly evil, but not so much so....dellusional....believes himself to be "The Sorceress' Knight"

I dont really like him. I havent seen him since he went inside that wall with that one person. But If hes on my team i use him cause hes strong

Seifer is a character with a personality unlike any from any other final fantasy game, yes he is a bad guy but he believe's he is doing the right thing.

Seifer is only supposed to be 18 (I think) where as in most games the baddies are around 30-40.

Seifer is just confused as to what's right thing to do, even before he was a "baddie" he was still cocky, but that didn't make him evil, so I don't think he is a real villain any more than Squall, as Seifers main plan is to use Galbadia to make it the ruling nation, which even though it is not really said in the game is blatantly Squall and Balambs aim as well.

Anyway what I was trying to say is that his character is unique and he is an interesting part of the game.

Well most peeps hate Seifer's character, me personally, like him, he has a great personality, and a very good character in the game, just my kinda guy ;)

He's an annoing idiot, I couldnt stand him.

I think that he and Squall were rivals squall didn't really think this I don't think he cared about seifer. Seifer considered him his rival and had to get the better of him he tried to imprees rinoa by attacking president deling but edea brainwashed him plus his "romantic dream" caused him to side with sourceress. And he could not give up because it is too much he can't let squall win which is why he fought once again on disc 3

I think Seifer has the koolest attitude, and he is very sexy ;)
He could be kind of a jerk at times, though.

At first I thought he was annoying and arrogant. Then I realised hes not so bad. He isnt really a bad person, he's just confused. He dosnt seem to know what hes doing. Edea says all that stuff about him being a little boy, and he immediately goes to work for her, as if shes enchanted him. He attacks the President to help Rinoa, and not long after hes fighting her. At first he thinks hes working for Edea, then he discovers hes working for Ultimecia, but still continues to work for her. Why would he work for someone who was going to destroy everything, even him? He was just confused, not evil.

Seifer is one of the few things I liked about FF8. All the charecters were so boring, except for him.. he has motives to turn evil and is evil with style ;)

Seifer's definitely not evil, just confused. He's naturally a rebel, which completely screws up his life because 1) other than his "posse," he can't get along with anyone. Even as a little kid he hated everyone else and 2) he can't seem to succeed at his dream. He's trying to be a SeeD but can't because to be a SeeD requires discipline, which he doesn't have. So he's basically screwed but he's the type of person who can't accept responsibility for his actions; in his eyes it's everyone else's fault. So he decides that makes everyone else wrong and joins forces with the Sorceress. It turns out that the sorceress is none other than the matron of the orphanage he grew up in, which only serves to reinforce his desire to be the Sorceress' Knight. (Of course the others must be evil, why else would they fight our Matron? Heck, they act like they don't even remember who she is!) After a while it becomes clear that Matron is being controlled by an evil person and that he's on the side of the "bad guy" but by that point he's already in too deep. This is the first time in his life he's ever felt like he was important, like he had a cause to fight for. So he keeps at it, until his two friends, the only people in the world who care about him, convince him that he's wrong. And finally he realizes that he should just forget about all his anger and crap and he lives happily ever after with his friends. (And Raijin gets his ass kicked into the bay. :D)

I like seifer. Hes really not evil, just confused. I thought he was a cool character.

I don't think seifers so much as evil as he is confused, he just sees things differen't and that dosen't make him bad does it?

Seifers the way he is, becouse he can't get on with many peaple, and being nasty makes his life easy for him.

Seifer may not be the greatest character in the world, but one thing is for sure in my mind...... He KANES over Squall.

Personally i would have much prefered to have Seifer as the main character than Squall. Perhaps that is because squall is a loser, or perhaps it is because seifer is evil and i like evil, or even perhaps it is because i am one sexy bitch!

Seifer was one of the most interesting characters in Final Fantasy VIII. It's right that he wasn't truly evil. He was being manipulated using his bitterness at not being able to succeed as a SeeD. The Sorceress' were able to take advantage of his vulnerability to get him to do their bidding. I liked Seifer as I could relate to him.
