Disney seems like a lot comprehend some days.

Disney live action films: National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets
Disney animated: The Emperor's New Groove
Disney Pixar: Finding Nemo
Disney TV: What was that show where some popular celebrities started out as kids back in the 80's? 90's? They sang the theme song in some 80's-kid rap style? I was a kid and that show was on premium channels that my uncle had whenever we visited. That's why I liked it. Plus I was 5 or 6 years old at the time.

EDIT1: The Mickey Mouse Club!

List of Disney television series - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Disney_television_series#1980s)
^a whole load of mindblown surprises.

I had no idea that "Dinosaur" or "Bill Nye The Science Guy" were Disney.
OR that "Honey, I Shrunk The Kids" had a TV show!!! :eye:

Looking at Wikipedia for more media venues, there's too much to comprehend. :ashine:

Some newer additions to the Disney super-franchise: LucasFilm and Marvel.

LucasFilm?
I think it's a nice idea. If it keeps George Lucas at bay while the Star Wars franchise gets to sail the open seas without "Special Editions". And we get the next Battlefield.
I don't know how well it works for video games. But I'm hoping this means we will get a remastered Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic dualogy. That game is in need of serious bugfixes, at the very least. Plus modding support. Custom scenarios and full mod would make for a fun revisit of the games.

I also hope that eventually the Original Trilogy for episodes 4-6 of Star Wars gets a re-release with the original, theatrical release before the Special Editions. Sure, it would be milking the franchise. But, I think even non Fanboys can appreciate this. Their Star Wars friends will finally shut up. :P I know I would.

Marvel?
It was destined to be a commercially sound conglomerate. It's destined to be more stable than DC success. They already have Hugh Jackman, Robert Downey Jr. and so many others under their thumb. They're quite secure for their financial success, even if some of their movies aren't well-favored. I hope this means Gambit will get a new and familiar approach to Gambit. While the hunky card gambler was pretty to look at, we all still want to see his familiar costume.

I look forward to seeing what Disney has to bring for LucasFilms and Marvel in the future.

Wiki has a lot more to say about Disney media. Like Disney Radio. I don't know Disney Radio so I can't really say. There's a million other venues they mentioned and I got dizzy so had to quit there. lol.

I like some of the live action movies... Like 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea (with Kirk Douglas), The Three Musketeers (with Charlie Sheen and Oliver Platt) and the Pirates Quartology (is that even a word? lol) and the Marvel franchise... (except the Ghost Rider movies... i'm a huge GR fan, but the movies were terrible).

Animation wise, sorry... despise it. I'm more of a Warner Bros. or Anime fan than damn Disney.

Game wise... I'm on the fence with. I despise Crapdom Farts (Kingdom Hearts to others), but with their partnership with EA and the like for Star Wars games and even the many Marvel games, I like.

Walt Disney was an arse.

Kudos to the animators who did the work.

Without Walt's genius vision, those animators would've had no studio. Arguably, if not for Walt, most would not have been discovered. His vision on how to translate the stories drove the early franchise (still does really). The STORYTELLING was everything. The actual animation merely functioned to support the story, not the other way around. When they forget that, THAT is when the films are less than stellar.

---------- Post added at 08:52 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:48 AM ----------

I DIG 20,000 Leagues. Visually it's awesome. The Nautilus...can't be beat. I have a 16 inch resin kit of that sub. Brings tears to my eyes. (well, so does kirk Douglas' duet with the seal, but no matter....) Disney paved the way for a great many things. A lot of the other animation studios owe Disney for even making animated features viable. (HERE anyway. I know anime and Japan are totally different....)

I'll keep this thread going no matter what. Anyways, STORYTELLING. The earliest good work from Disney was Bambi, which by the way was a box office flop. That says something about the masses, but that's another story. There wasn't much of a story line in Bambi. Young deer loses mother to savage hunter type, hangs out with other friends of the forest, faces cataclysmic fire and meets father. What made that particular film very good, even classic, was the animation. It was extremely charming. However, I do agree with you that story telling is important, but in this case it isn't. Kudos to the unsung animators.

Regarding the issue of discovery, who's to say that the animators Disney hired, wouldn't have gone elsewhere and produced superior work with better scripts sans the singing and dancing routines which are still plaguing Disney today. Regardless I'm more a fan of Warner Bros. I suppose it relates to my crass nature.

I'm never going to bash Kirk Douglas or James Mason. But Disney, yeah why not. I'll bash Bill Gates too, or any other mogul I have issues with. If that doesn't fire up this thread, I don't know what will.

Amanda

I don't think Disney animators are "unsung" in any way. Volumes of articles, books and documentaries have focused solely on the original 7 animators. They are certainly (were certainly) well known. Perhaps not to average folk, but to anyone with an interest in animation. The dance and musicals for me are part of the package. I **love** that. Yea, Titan AE etc may have felt more "adult", but that's not what I'm after in Disney pics. Other animation projects, occurring BACK THEN likely would not have happened. It was Walt who saw it as a valid art form for feature films, as opposed to "just" cartoons ala Silly Symphonies. I find Snow White and the other early ones charming. Disney and his team created new techniques wholesale, such as the multi-plane camera. While he did not actually build it, Walt did envision it. He was the glue to bring all of it together. A whistling mouse? That....you could actually **gasp** hear? Walt thought to do that. Then hired the animators to make it come true.

And, many Japanese animation teams cite Disney as inspiration way back when. The fixation with the expressive eyes (always with the eyes). Whether he was an ass or not, meh. Depends I guess. But many artists are. If you are good enough to back up your boasts, it often gets overlooked.

Still though, the day of no musicals in Disney animation will be a sad one indeed for me.

Which is exactly the response he is attempting to get from folks. You...do see that, right? Whatever he truly believes, he is trying to get you to amuse him by sputtering and clucking about his posts. Discussing the Disney/animators/credit thing is a good discussion. But basically being emotional that Disney is being badmouthed generally just gives him what he wants. Driving you from your own thread would just be gravy....

I like to listen to the Main Street electrical parade I have been listen to that seen i was really young to relax to at night on the Cd that I have the music of Disneyland Walt DisneyWorld and Epcot it was my first Cd from the Disney parks. I have some Disney CDs but not a lot of them every time I go the Disney parks I try to find Disney park CDs the last Disney park Cd that got at the park was four parks one world 2 disk set. I asked my family to get me the Cd that came out last year for DisneyWorld and I got it for my 30th birthday last year and I have it in my iTunes on my IPad2 I also got the story and song from the haunted mansion last year in the summer when it was at the park I found at downtown Disney and there were not a lot of them left in stock that day. I have a question for you Mr Gold when I import a Disney park Cd into my ITunes way does it not show the artwork of the Cd but when I download a Cd from one of the Disney park music topics it shows the artwork of the CD am I doing something wrong with my ITunes that it's does not show the artwork of the Disney park Cd is there somewhere in iTunes that I can tell it to find the artwork of the Disney park CDs that I have?

I would only come on here sometimes when I first joined and I found the Disneyland/Walt Disney World thread. Back then I really didn't have much to contribute to the posts and so I hung back from posting along with seeing some venom going back and fourth. So that kind of scared me off, also fearing that I posting something dumb since my self esteem was much lower and unfortunately anxiety is another thing I've had to deal with, but here I am trying to share what I have that I've collected for the years and share with others. And I know that there are people on here whom love Disney as much as I do. Which why I am much more comfortable talking in any of the Disney threads. :) Sorry for the long post, I just wanted to clarify that this is a huge step. :)

LOL. Ironically enough though it's still one of my favorites and holds a very special place in my heart.

I took a date to see Beauty and the Beast - it was her idea and I remember goofing on it because I thought it was funny she wanted to go see a 'Kids Movie.' Then we went and saw it and it was one of the best movies I had seen in years. We saw it a second time on our next date.

So, I get the feeling you all are much younger than I (alas!), but I was a child at a time when VHS recorders first hit the scene. I can remember my parents buying one and bringing it home. My father, enthusiastic about this amazing gadget that was going to allow us to watch movies whenever we wanted, ran out and bought videos - they were really expensive back then, mind. The first movie they bought me and I watched on video was 'Fun and Fancy Free'. They also bought me 'Dumbo'. I must have watched both over 100 times over the following weeks.

To this day, whenever I put 'Fun and Fancy Free' on (It happens to be one of my daughter's favorite movies), it ALWAYS transports me back.

...and that is why Disney rocks!

I have only been to Disney world and not to Disneyland I hope to some day make to to the Disneyland resort in California. I have some Disney music but not alot of Disney music I was glad that I found this site with the Disney soundtracks and the Disney world and the other Disney park soundtracks. I am glad that you and other members of this site posted Disney park music and Disney soundtracks. I like the Disney world resort because it is a fun place for me to go and relax and have fun with my family I like to watch the parades and fireworks shows. I was at the Disney world resort in the summer of 2013 and got to see the main street electrical parade again I have seen that parade at the Disney world resort in the 1984 and 1990 and than I got to see the parade again at the Disney world resort in 1999-2000 with my family and I really enjoyed that parade. I have a question for you Mr Gold did you ever get a change to see the main street electrical parade at Disney world or Disneyland or Disneyland pairs? I have a question for you Mr Gold what is your favorite ride at the Disney world resort and the Disneyland resort and Disneyland pairs resort and Tokyo Disneyland? My favorite ride at the Disney world resort is the haunted mansion and the tower of terror and test track and the rock n roller coaster and Toy story manna at the Disney world resort and star tours both ride versions. I am sorry that I was been rude when I first posted on this site Mr Gold I did not mean to make you or anyone else mad I just like Disney park music and some of it is hard to find the Disney music that I have asked for in your topic and some of the other Disney music topics. I like the old Disney cartoons like Donald duck and the old mickey mouse cartoons and some of the other old Disney cartoons. I have a question for you Mr Gold have you ever been to Tokyo Disneyland before? I also like Disney movies I have alot of them on VHS it is to bad that I will soon not be able to play them on VHS again I have some really good Disney movies like Aladdin and peter pan. I am going to have to find them on DVD or blue ray DVDs to watch I have peter pan on Blue ray DVD and I also have finding nemo and both Cars movies. I think that it was really cool that you showed pictures of that hidden stuff in the Disney cartoons do you know any other Disney cartoons that have hidden stuff in them if you do can you post the pictures of that stuff and what other Disney movies have you seen hidden stuff in?

We just purchased Make Mine Music also - believe it or not I've actually never seen it. I'm also so delighted - usually, I mention 'Fun and Fancy Free' and folks groan! I know it's a bit disjointed and not your typical Disney movie. It's always been one of my favorites.

Chrisps, if you can get the chance, definitely visit the CA park. I grew up 60 miles from the park and was an annual passholder. For a while, I took it for granted that I had so much access. Funnily enough, my wife and I befriended an Australian girl during one visit. She was touring the states and we asked what inspired a stop to Disneyland among all the other things she was planning. Her replied gave us pause because it was something we knew, but the weight had never hit us before: "Well, I'm a Disney fan, and I wanted to walk through the only park he ever walked through."

It was an interesting perspective. I've spent the last decade living in TN; we get down to Orlando one every two years. I love Walt Disney World, it has a lot of strengths where the Anaheim park does not - but there is just something about Disneyland. I dunno. It's probably because I did grow up there and so that's where my memories remain.

Anyway, everyone should do the California parks at least once. Walk where Walt once tread. :)

He was fantastic! I loved the scene where he visited PL Travers in England and told the story about life with his father.

Went last year with my daughter. Lots of cool stuff, the Snow White Oscar, Walt's miniatures and little train he used to ride around the backyard. I heard a cute story somewhere that Walt wanted to extend his little home RR track through his wifes flower garden but she flat out refused to allow it; so he had a legal document drawn up and approved by the Gov't granting him permission to build a bridge over it!

I really enjoy that movie I have it on VHS and have not watched that movie for a long time. I have seen the Christmas Carol the movie that was in theaters in 3D I watched it on TV last year it was another really good movie made by Disney. I also liked all of the Disney movies made by Disney so far. I enjoy going to the Disney parks with my family and listening to Disney park CDs and the soundtracks from the Disney movies. I hope that a new haunted mansion movie gets made sometime soon I have herd rumors about a new Haunted mansion movie that was going to come out earlier and it never happened because Disney did not like the movie because it was going to be to scary for families does anyone know if that movie will get made and come out to theaters sometime soon? I also enjoy the tower of terror movie that Disney made in 1997 it was on TV and never in movie theaters but I still enjoyed it because it was the story about the tower of terror. I still enjoy watching the classic old Disney cartoons my favorite old Disney movie is Aladdin with Robin Williams as the gene in that movie.

bison74
09-09-2014, 04:36 AM
"... my favorite old Disney movie is Aladdin ..."

Well, you've successfully done it - I now feel exceptionally aged :)
By the way, I'm not sure why Disney has not wandered into the foray of Haunted Mansion again, other than the fact that the less-than-positive response by critics to the Eddie Murphy HM movie may have kept the studio at bay. What I can tell you is that a movie being 'too scary for families' has never been a reason that has dissuaded Disney in the past. Movies like 'The Black Cauldron', 'Something Wicked This Way Comes', and 'The Black Hole' were all Disney movies - none of which I would currently show my nine-year-old daughter. They're all great movies (in my humble), just not what you would call family fare. 'Something Wicked' was especially creepy when I was a kid.

What do you guys think is the darkest disney film?

James (The Disney Guy)
09-14-2014, 12:01 AM
Well of course the more adult themed films, ie pirates of the caribbean. But I would have to go with the black cauldron it is a very dark film with a bit of an evil feel.

But that said all film have a few dark moments. Another example is when the beast fights the wolves in B&TB , the scene in the woods in snow white, a night on bald mountain in fantasia and of course the donkey tansormation in pinocchio.

I love Disney but am constantly frustrated with their releases for different franchises (both DVD and CD); which is worse since the local stores never seem to get them when or if they're available or I never hear about them till they're back out of print; for ex. I've been looking for Aristocats on CD for years, just like Gargoyles and other Disney classics which haven't had releases at all, or haven't released in a long time - like The Rescuers and a few others. So I'm very excited to hear that they're putting out the Aristocats on CD though I worry my local retailers won't get enough copies to meet demand, and I'll have to go online for it (and others which I'm looking for)

On a side topic, I'm not really big on Disney buying up other properties. It doesn't make me happy but Disney usually lets their properties do their own thing, which I'm glad about. I feel nervous about that, but they haven't made a misstep so far, so I'm not upset, I do understand they're trying to keep up with WB what with Warners having DC and DC material to draw from for their movies/games

I am just curious does anyone know if the drop in the Disneyland pirates of the Caribbean ride in Disneyland is relly a 50 foot drop or is it smaller than that? My next question I was watching a video of the Disneyland railroad from one of the downloads from mousebits the site is down right now but in the video when the train comes into new Orlans square is the building in front of the train before you get to the train station the back side of the haunted mansion? I have not seen any Disney moives this year yet but I hope to see the avengers 2 before it leves the moive ttheather that I work in my area did anyone see inside out yet Disney and pixar's newest moive this weekend? I think that parts of that moive remide of a old Disneypark show in Epcot in the wonders of life you all know what show I am talking about if you were at Epcot in the eaily 90s. I am going to go see Star Wars the force awakens in December I can'nt wait for December to get her so I can see that moive. I do not know much about ant man yet I just know that it is a mavel super hero moive coming out next month on the 17th I will be on vacation in Hawaii for 10 days when that moive comes out to theaters. What does everyone think of the new fireworks show and new nighttime parade at Disneyland that started in May of this year? I like the new fireworks show and the electrical parade but the new electrical parade is not as good as the Main Street electrical parade I know that parade is at Disneyworld right now I saw it in 2013 around this time in 2013 it was the week before the 4th of July I was at Disney for 5 days and enjoyed it and I miss the Disneyworld resort I hope to make a trip back there sometime soon. Disneyworld is like a second home to me becuse I relly like Disneyworld I have been there seen I was a year old and that is what started my love for everything Disney and Everything Disneypark. I have a lot of old Disney moives on VHS from the eaily 90s I have the little Mirnade on VHS it is a Disney Classic I also have bully and the beast on VHS I rember my sister and me and my grandmother going to pack theather on opening weekend to see that moive on the big screen.

I hope that you have a good time at Disneyland Paris next year and in 2017 in the winter for the 25th anniversary. I do not know when my next trip to a Disney park will be becuse we just spend a lot of money on are last vacation to Hawaii a cople of weeks ago I have now been home from Hawaii for over a week it was very nice and relaxing in Hawaii for 10 days I will never forget been in Hawaii but will probably never get to back to Hawaii becuse of how much money it cost to fly there and eat there. I am hoping to go the Disneyworld resort in 2020 for the Disneyworld's 50th anniversary. I was thinking about going to the Disneyland resort this year for the Disneyland 60th anniversary but saidly I did not get to go there this year if I would have gone there this year it would have been my frist trip to the happiest place on earth but maybe sometime soon if me and my family get the money to go there sometime soon my parents have been to the Disneyland resort 1 time when I was I think 3 years old at the time but never went back but maybe someday that will change and I will be able to go to Disneyland with them sometime soon a who knows maybe the Disneyland resort will get a new nighttime electrical parade like the one at Tokyo Disneyland. I enjoy the Main Street electrical parade at Disneyworld I got to see it in the summer of 2013 but I also miss the nighttime electrical parade that started after the Main Street electrical parade in the summer of 1991 I just hope that the Disneyworld resort gets a new nighttime electrical parade sometime soon like the electrical parade at the Disneyland resort for the 60th anniversary this year and a new fireworks show like the Disneyland forever firework show at the Disneyland resort I enjoy watching wishes but that started in I think 2004 at the Disneyworld resort the last firework show that I saw before that was fantasy in the sky and now that show only runs 2 times in the year and that is the 30th and 31st of December for New Years eve I have never been there to see it in person but have seen it every year seen 2008 on YouTube. I have come close to seeing the Dosneyworld 4th of July fireworks show in 2013 I think that is named Disney's celebrate America a 4th of July in the sky concert maybe someday soon I will get to see that fireworks show sometime soon I have never seen the Epcot 4th of July fireworks I keep telling my parents that I want to go to the Disneyworld resort for Star Wars weekends but ever year Disney has it the busy times of the year in May so I can'nt get off work to be there for that weekend to enjoy the Star Wars fireworks show. I also wanted to go to the Disneyworld resort for the special villains event that they only did 2 times at Disney's Hollywood studios but they will never do it again.

I have a qustion for everyone in this topic now that new Disney echo is just a couple of days away what do you think that will be the big changes at Disney's Hollywood studios it is rumored to get a new name the Star Wars land is probably going to happen it would make seen becuse of the Star Wars weekends and some old stuff people do not go to or care much about anymore like the old Indy stunt show the little mermaid stage show Buty and the best stage show and one mans dream that would open a relly big area for a Star Wars land. I do think that Epcot will get a meabor super hero area were the old wonders of life building is now that does not get used that much anymore I see an Iionman ride in part of that building and some other marble stuff like stuff on the moives and gift shops. Now back to Star Wars rumored land I do see some type of gift shop to sell Star Wars stuff like all 7 stars wars soundtracks Star Wars shirts and hats and games and video games for playstation 3 and 4. I am also hopping that the Disney's Hollywood studios gets more stuff added to the Pixar land were toy story maina is now maybe a new cars land ride like at Disneyland or a toy story themed area or maybe the Monsters Inc coaster that was rumored years ago that never happened. I will try to keep everyone in this topic updated as news comes out about what is new at the Disneyparks in the near future but I might not be able to be in this topic much next week becuse I might be playing my NASCAR 15 game when the game gets the updated 2015 special paint schemes that is rumored to come out any time next week if they don't come out next week I will try to pass along the news about the new stuff at the Disneyparks as I get more info next week from the Disney expo next week online I relky wanted to go it but it is Calforina near the Disneyland resort so I will have to check the Internet for updates all next week if I do not get the 2015 special paint schemes for NASCAR 15 on the playstation 3 next week.

I Have Just Bought And Watched Saving Mr Banks What A Fantastic Performance By Tom Hanks & Emma Thompson.
Only Tom Hanks Could Play Walt Disney And What A Wonderful Job He Did

Admittedly a bit late and I'm not sure if anyone's addressed this... but you do realize that Saving Mr. Banks, reflects in no way whatsoever the truth of the Mary Poppins story or any other supposedly heart-wrenching story it told, right? Amazingly enough, it deserves a spot as one of Hollywood's "least historically accurate films to date" right after Gladiator and the 300 sequel. Honestly though I don't understand this apotheosis for a poltroon and his now conglomerate legacy responsible for molding on its whims not just the artistic but also (if not more) the political and cultural Zeitgeist of the late 20th century and counting. 50 years ago maybe but we know better now. I hate to indulge in reductio ad hitlerum but had Walt Disney ever been any less a coward and done more than just capriciously drawl crass antisemitic and misogynistic remarks, actions for which he would have been incarcerated, I am sure Disney's entrepreneurial cartoonist history would've taken a turn following in the same vein as Hitler's, beginning with "Maus Kampf" painting as anathema any idea not his own.

Hello.
Paris For Me.You?

I like Hollywood Studios. (Although I still tend to call it MGM...)

Did you see that during the Osborne Family Lights at Hollywood Studios they had one fake storefront dressed to look like Mr. Gold's Pawn Shop? It had a bunch of Once Upon a Time stuff in the window, including the dagger and the books.

I agree, I ve planed to go this summer, I want to try Ratatouille first and all the rest again and again lol I stay @the Disneyland Hotel!

I Have Stayed In Disneyland Hotel, Hotel New York, Hotel Cheyenne & Hotel Santa Fe. But The Last 6 Years (I Go Once or Twice a Year (Somestimes Three Times)) I Always Stay At Disneyland Hotel, It Much Easier As It Allows Access To Both Parks & The Village Without Constant Security Checks Plus Over all A Nicer Hotel.

lorddsp
04-15-2016, 10:59 PM
Exact and it's more comfortable if you have kid to make break between each park, even if mine turn 7 and is unstoppable.

But they pretend to be a five 5 hotel but it's not true, the standing is not enough high regarding the price ( 800€ night without package!)

I like too the shop services who carry in your room the goodies bought in the parks.

And you live in UK I think if you come twice / year? I live @Geneva, only 45 minutes in plane and the bus carry you from CDG to the parks, very easy.

lorddsp
04-16-2016, 10:37 PM
clear, the difference between studio and the main park is enormous, I know that the castle has just been repainted or just 1 or 2 years before right?

But a lot of ride need to be renovated (i know that indy ride should be transformed because to hard for family, I love ride like silver star, blue fire but disney is not six flags park lol), the zone with space mountain is in better stat..

James (The Disney Guy)
04-16-2016, 10:40 PM
Star tours is closed in discovery, and space mountain closes again in summer.

The hyperium cofe has just opned as it was renovated with the videopolis theatre as they added the star wars jedi academy.

I Am Pricing Up A Trips For Next Yr. I Wanna Do Halloween & Christmas.
Stay In The Disneyland Hotel.
And Hopefully Book Buffalo Bill's Again (Love That Show).

Looking Forward to The Villian Fest Again, Not Done Halloween In A Few Years, I Miss It Although I Love The Christmas Season and Easter.
Only Problem With Those Seasons (Halloween & Christmas) Being The Storybook Ride Will Be Closed, But At Least We Get Belle's Christmas Village By The Alice Labyrinth And Snow Everyday! Not To Mention Mickey's Winter Wonderland!

And Halloween Villains And Fun Parades/Shows!

I have not been to Disney in a long time my last trip to Disney world was in 2013 with my family I really want to go back again sometime soon to Disney world because of the new star wars land and the new Toy story land coming soon to Disney world Did you see the movie Star wars the force awakens yet? I got to see it 1 time on the big screen when I was working last year in December the day before the first day of this year they did not need me because we had to users working that day so I got called off work and got to watch the movie for free I enjoyed the movie so much that I got it on blue ray and DVD and digital all in one box at the Disney store I have not opened the movie yet but I hope to open it sometime soon. I have a question for you what is happing to thunder mountain at Disneyland Paris I saw that it is closed until next year are they re-tracking the ride to make it so it is not such a roght ride? I have been watching videos on one of YouTube channels that I am fallowing and it looks like it is going to be closed until next year is Disneyland Paris going to get star tours 2.0 like we have here in the USA anytime soon? Did you see how well the new Jungle book movie did here in the USA? it made over a 100 million in a week the second Disney movie to make over a 100 million this year. I can't wait to see captain America civil war it opens here in the USA on May 6th that is a Friday so I will be working when it opens it is going to be one of the biggest movie of this summer movie session but we will have to wait to find out how much money it makes this summer.

Star Wars TFA Was Good.

Jungle Book Was Good.

Captain America CW Will Be Good.

Disneyland Paris is having a major referb for the 25th ann next year. Big thunder is getting a total fix up. Aswell as the disneyland railroad, star tours, peter pan and many others.

I love TFA.

Feels more like the Days of Future Past without time travel for the Star Wars universe. It was the movie it needed to be to revive the franchise.
Everyone compares it to Marvel, because Disney.

If Episode 8 turns out to be like Episode 7, then they can do the Marvel comparison and call each Episode an Avengers movie.
Except no Hulk in these (yet). Hmm. No one's really been a real threat to themselves or their teammates.
Rey tried to kill Finn for a couple seconds, by mistake.
Hulk went on for two entire films. That monster.

Production values are equal. Lots of money thrown on special effects, design, cotumes, lighting, actors.
So naturally, they're going to "look" the same.
I don't think we could have gotten some epic saga writing out of TFA unless it removed a lot of the action and focused more on the religion of SW universe.
Like if Ridley Scott directed it, made it a 4 hour saga and just revamped "Kingdom of Heaven" into a Jedi story rather than a Christian's story.

Disneyland Paris in going to be 25 next year? I did not know that are they going to have a new daytime parade and a new nighttime parade or just keep the nighttime parade that is there now from Tokyo Disneyland? I really enjoyed Star wars the force awakens I am hoping that Episode 8 will be good Star Wars the Force awakens is the biggest movie here in the USA it made over 930 million dollars it was also the highest opening for a movie here in the USA it opened with over 200 million. I am hoping that this years Star wars movie will be good dark Vader is going to be back in that movie because it takes place between Episode 3 and 4 I do know that Star Wars Episode 9 is going to be coming out in 2019 there is another one coming out in 2018 but not a episode it is going to be another spin off and there is another spin off story in 2020. I am hoping to go back to Disney world sometime soon to see the new Star Wars land and the new Toy Story land the Toy Story land might open next year or in 2018 I am thinking that Star Wars land will open in 2019 or in 2020 but I am hoping it opens in 2019 when Episode 9 comes out to theaters we do not have the backlot tour anymore or Lights motors extreme action stunt show but I am hoping that they keep the stage show and use it for a new Star Wars stunt show there is going to be a new Star Wars fireworks show this summer at Disney's Hollywood studios something like Disneyland forever just with a star wars theme I can't wait to see the first video of that on YouTube sometime soon. I am thinking that Captain America civil war is going to make alot of money I think that it will make more money then what Batman Vs Superman made in 2 weeks it is going to be in IMAX for 3 weeks so it will make alot more money than what Batman VS superman made in 2 weeks it is going to be the biggest movie of the summer this year and maybe the biggest movie of this year.

I find Chrisps' posts refreshing. It's like driving on a darkened road, and you can only see a few feet ahead of you ... and the road can suddenly change direction in a split second. And just when you have your car righted - BOOM! - it changes direction again. Then again. And suddenly, you've forgotten why you started on the journey to begin with, but you keep going because who the heck knows where you're going to end up, and maybe if we're lucky we'll all be better people for having taken the ride.

And I like to read books too.
