Deep In My Heart - 1954 - Recordings from the original magnetic stereo session master - FLAC.

Back in 1996, I bought the laser disc boxed set "MGM Composers Collection" including three musicals: "Till The Clouds Roll By" (1946), "Words and Music" (1948) and for the first time "Deep In My Heart" (1954) in a letter-box edition and stereo sound (AC3). The laserdiscs contain the recording session highlight on the analog tracks (stereo tracks) and a few weeks ago, I created my own CD of "Deep In My Heart" including all the tracks available on the laserdiscs for this musical. I am satisfied about the result and I think it was a good idea to upload the soundtrack, I know there are users in here interested in the MGM Musicals. The MGM orchestra at its best, great singers, Howard Keel, Helen Traubel, Jane Powell, Vic Damone and William Olvis. Only a few tracks (demo recordings) are in mono. All the tracks are in FLAC.

have PM'd you for the link - I agree that the MGM Studio Orchestra was magnificent - and they had the best arrangers to call on as well. There are still many rarities buried in the MGM vaults waiting to be re-discovered. Such a shame that the great Rhino/Turner series of musicals on CD was discontinued.

This is one of those films that I don't like very much but the music is wonderful in all regards. So grateful to be able to hear it in this fashion. Thanks!
