I don't have many of them, but I do pick them up occasionally.

The only anime figures I have are various Trigun characters. I have a McFarlane Vash and a set of imports. By the way, the Monev the Gale figure is the coolest ever.

Yeah, well, I collect for the sole purpose of defeating all of the fools that think they can actually own as much stuff as me(they can't! They can't!)

No seriously, I don't have any figures at all. Toys are for children!

People who think like that don't even like to experience the kid in them.

Toys aren't necissarely for kids. Adults can like the 3-D form of art too. It's not a crime. They even make adult toys for 17 & up. That's why we keep them in the box, or just collect them. The 3-D form of art is so unique!

That's one I forgot to add: I have a Belldandy and Skull(I think that's her name) action figure.

Your collections good too Enkidoh! How long have you been collecting?

I'd buy Aoshi's action figure. I haven't seen it in my favourite comic store so far, but if it ever shows up there, I'll buy it.

I see no need to buy any other action figures. They aren't always pretty, for one, and also kind of expensive. Not too expensive, but I rather spend my money on manga and anime.

Quite a few years actually. I started collecting anime figures not that long after I started collecting FF figures and statues (which began around 1998), but my collection has started to slow it's expansion as I've long since run out of room (hence, a good deal of my collection is packed away).

Sure, 'he who dies with the most toys, still dies' is true enough, but collecting figures and statues from anime and games is not about rampant materialisim, but rather personal enjoyment.

If you enjoy collecting action figures, then there is absolutely nothing wrong with doing so. As long as you enjoy yourself, then that's the main thing. It's just like any other hobby, like coin collecting.

Good collection too by the way. :D

Thanks! I've been collecting for quite some time. I think since 1998 or 1999? They always catch my eye and I love the art! I get so excited each time I see them being sold! I always think "OMG! Tell me I'm not dreaming!"

I deliberately didn't include my FF figure collection (which exceeds my anime figure collection by a large amount), because this is the anime forum, but seeing as how people are including their FF collections in as well, I may as well join in:

Bandai FFVII action figures: US versions of Tifa and Touch-me Frog, Aeris and Chocobo; and Japanese versions of Vincent and Sephiroth
Bandai FFVII limited edtion 'Collector's Edition Boxed Set of Cloud, Aeris, Tifa and Barret, with Chocobo and Touch-Me Frog.
Banpresto FFVII keychain figures of Cloud, Aeris, Barret, Cloud riding a Chocobo and Bahamut
Kotobukiya FFVII statues of Cloud, Tifa (original edition) and Vincent
Bandai FFVIII action figures: Japanese Squall, plus US verions of Seifer, Zell and Rinoa.
Kotobukiya FFVIII GF figures: Japanese 'black-box' edition of Ifirit and Tonberry (with piece of the Ragnarok), Bahamut 'black box' ('purpleish/clear' edition), US Shiva with Carbuncle and Mog, and Gilgamesh.
Kotobukiya FFVIII 'Monster' figures: Odin (without Sleipnir) and Ultima Weapon (the largest figure in my collection physically - this thing is the size of a small cat)
Bandai FFIX 'two pack' action figures: Zidane with Vivi and Steiner with Garnet
Garage kit statues of Zidane and Garnet
Bandai FFIX 'Heroines of FF' mini-figure of Garnet
Banpresto FFIX Garnet keychain figure
Kotobukiya FFX large Yuna statue
Square Enix 'Play Arts' FFX-2 large Paine action figure
Bandai FF The Spirits Within (movie) figures of Gray and Aki
Bandai FF The Spirits Wihtin Copperhead airship model
Banpresto Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon 2 Black Mage money box figure

As for non-FF or anime figures, I've also got a Front Mission 3 Zenislev Wanzer action figure, and Ash and Evil Ash figures from the cult movie Army of Darkness.

Finally, as well I have some Star Wars figures, along with figures from Zelda Ocarina of Time and Resident Evil 2 also lurking somewhere in my room, but I haven't seen them for ages and cannot even remember exactly what they look like! :D
