I am finally making another thread. My favorite magic materia is contain. It "contains" great magic-Freeze,Break,Tornado,and Flare. Awesome. KOTR and Neo Bahamut are my favorite summons, and Slash-All is my favorite command. Post ANY materia favorites, or post all of your favorites.

My fav comand materia is 2X cut, its amazing, The indipendent or pink is definately counter attack, magic er.. Ultima or Restore.
Summon definatly Shiva, thats once hot ice woman!
and Blue definatly, ALL they make everything great

Since summoning was my favorite idea in RPGs,

I'll go with summon materia.

I like Ultima as it has a cool Clip to go with it!
Also Conatin as like u said it contains Flare so , well, Duh!

one time me mate had 4xcut and had mime so he killed sephiroth with 2 attacks cool huh?

obviously summon materia, its the most helpful and theres only one of each.

mime combined with onislash in case you wondering i always got my limit up before fighting a boss because i completed it once so i knew boss was coming up used onislash go my other two players to do nothing and used mime untill i beat the boss

Green. It's my favorite color. Plus, without magic where would you be?

Yellow, green, and blue are obviously the best.
My favorite thing is turning people into materia farms and selling or re-equipping the excess.

I dont have the patience to cast summon spells.

Mime and DoubleCut materia are my favorites. And the Big Guard enemy skill.

I do too! It makes the last battle with the Turks so much easier too! Without it, I don't remember being able to beat them.

Knighs of the round is cheap. You only really need it to beat the weapons.

Oh, I liked support and command.

I like the swirly colored ones that spark when you bang them together.

DEFINETLY Counter, and 4x Cut. Seeing as how one's command and one's indepenedant i'll go with counter because if it has all those health plus', mp plus' you need

But this is definetly my fav thing to do in the game:
Clouds weapon: Ultimate Weapon - 8 slots
Clouds armor: zeidrich - 0 slots
Clouds accessory: Speed shoes

And materia set up is: Double cut = Enemy Skill Luck Plus = Luck Plus Counter = W-item

So Yellow and Purple as you can see. Hell that's all the materia i use ( for final battle. I also equip a Master command in place of a Lucl plus if i can. )

I'm confused by that last post, I think you got your order mixed up or something.

what about Counter=4x Cut, does that work?

I think that the most helpful is either the "Chocobo Lure" or "HP Plus Materia"

Restore, KotR, Final attack, Revive, Barrier

My fav Materia is 4x cut, it works so well with Clouds Ultima Weapon, does like 40,000 damage!!

I like 4x-cut. All command materia is my favorite. I don't use summons very often.

Favorite materia:

Command: 4x-Cut
Summon: Phoenix
Independent: Counter Attack
Support: Final Attack
Magic: Contain

I just love the Ultima and Shield Materia.And of course I love every materia that has to do with fire.Flare,Ifrit,Fire1-2-3...and stuff.But I don't really need materias...I can beat Jenova in 37 sec,Bizarre Sephiroth in 48 sec and Safe-Sephiroth in 8 min...Because he kept using that Super Nova(one attack-a,5 min).Oh,I really like the Super Nova attack...

Finally....someone else who likes Shield materia!

E.skill - definately the most versatile
deathblow - when it hits its fantastic
Bahamut - i love dragons
Contain/Ultima - How awesome
Mega all - same effect as all but on all equiped materia

also dont forget the elemental and added effect, if used corectly they could make or break a battle

I practically like all the various materia types there all just 2 cool.I cant decide which one so ill go for the srongest one Red(summon materia)

Summons are really cool.

They're not just cool, they're incredible! I like the 4x Cut though, that's amazing. I recently beat Hojo on my newest save. I used my best Summons, and 2x Cut (I did not have 4x Cut yet. I haven't mastered it enough)

4x cut was a yellow one right....its been so long, i should play through agian...

I suppose i am a monster because i have 6 mastered 4x cuts and 2 mastered command materias just for yellow but 4x cut is the greatest thing ever made. Also, I could not have beaten emreald weapon without revive mastered because I love pumping on materia on my guys. Im just too strong lol my 4x cut does 9999 damage with everyone. Even Tifa. YEs..TIFA. I think Cloud's Buster Sword does about 6000, and i like using it just for the old school feel. Ultima weapon looks so much like a rainbow. lol
