I remember a lazy afternoon back in 1990 I think, my father was watching a movie, so I sat in to join him, it was "Old Gringo", I didn't have the chance to see who was the Composer so I was listening carefully, and then "The Love Scene", oh my God I was in Heaven, what a beautiful, gorgeous and haunting music I thought, I nearly cried. And for the rest of the score the only thing I thought, oh man whoever the composer is, is really a Master, then the "End Credits" I watched carefully to see the name of the Composer, nothing, so I played it again this time alone (and yes I cried like a baby when I saw the love scene again alone), and then I realized it was Lee Holdridge, from that time on he's one of my favorite composers of all time.

Pure and simple, if you call yourself a Film Music Lover, you must have this.

This is not a request... I just wanted to join you in my absolute love for this MAGNIFICENT score by Lee Holdridge !

I saw the movie the day of its theatrical release and was already very familiar with the music of Lee Holdridge... but I can also confess that, just like you, I was absolutely overwhelmed with emotion discovering the sublime composition and musical performance on THE love scene !

This is a summit of emotional crescendo and brilliant writing. Each bar is by itself a MASTERWORK and each modulation generates goosebumps and tears !!!

Just a little detail, I don't know if Crescendo records did press different masters but the one I own has a reversed stereo channel. Cellos and basses are on the left and violins and violas are on the right... :(

Anyway I fixed it for me the way it should be, but I guess it's an information that I had to share with all of the MUSIC LOVERS who are about to live a PURE moving musical revelation !!!

Dear erich, THANK YOU for all those who are lucky enough to ignore the existence of this music but will, with your generosity, experience the discovery of this extraordinary score !!!
