I don't know where else to put this, but I really wanted to share this.

I managed to find a torrent which I believe contains all of the soundtracks from the Mobile Suit Gundam (0079) CD-Box collection.

...The only problem is that I need help organizing it.

The album covers came with the torrent, but they go in their own separate folders...therefore I can't be able to identify which songs are the motion picture OSTs and which ones were from the TV show.

The names are (obviously) also in Japanese, which just makes it harder for me to organize all of this.

Will someone be willing to help me?

Is this (http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B000J0ZP88/) the CD-Box you downloaded? If so, there's an entry at VGMdb (http://vgmdb.net/album/24054). There's also an entry at Wikipedia Japan (https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E6%A9%9F%E5%8B%95%E6%88%A6%E5%A3%AB%E3%82%AC%E3%8 3%B3%E3%83%80%E3%83%A0_CD-BOX).

Thank you so much!

I'll be sure to put a download link to this soundtrack as soon as I'm done organizing it now C:

Alright...quick question:

Anyone know how to translate this?

"Dai 2 wa 'Gundam hakai meirei' yori"

I know "Dai 2 wa" means "Episode 2" but I can't seem to find out what "Yori" means and how it would fit into the title name...

Nvm, I got it.

From the Second Episode "Gundam Destruction Order".

I will love you eternally if you share that box... :D

Ok, I'm almost done organizing it and it'll be ready for download in a few days or so :D

I just need help translating this:
松竹映画「機動戦士ガンダム」③ (ドラマ)

As I keep organizing this I may end up finding other titles which I can't understand...I haven't found any yet, but if I do I'll be sure to post it onto this thread and see if anyone is willing to help out

I should really re upload the Gundam music database, but I need the web space, and it's a bit out of date.

---------- Post added at 08:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:01 PM ----------

What the hey. Here it is:
Gundam Master Music Database. (http://www.sybpress.com/Gundam/gundam_music_index.htm)
specifically,
Original Gundam Albums (http://www.sybpress.com/Gundam/gundam_music_Gundam_Albums.htm), and
Original Gundam Box Sets (http://www.sybpress.com/Gundam/gundam_music_Gundam_Box_Sets.htm).

...Those websites still exist?

The last time I tried to go onto them (which was a few weeks ago, I believe), it told me that it didn't exist or something

I reuploaded it last night.
The site moved to a new server. The new server didn't have the web space for the Gundam database, so it was not transferred with it.
It's since been shifted to yet a third server, with more space. I hadn't bothered reuploading before, but since there clearly is a need, here ya go.

松竹映画「機動戦士ガンダム」③ (ドラマ) - Shouchiku Eiga "Kidou Senshi Gundam" 3 (Drama).

Alright, I'm ALMOST done! Literally! :D

I'm at Space Encounters right now (the one filled with music from the movie), and according to the Gundam database that JonC posted here, there's 7 extra tracks...

I think I MAY have them but I'm having trouble trying to identify them.

Help?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Edit)
I should also mention this:
I have 6 of the extra tracks but I can't figure out what the 7th extra track is.

(Last Edit)

NVM, I just found it lol.

I just wasn't paying enough attention to see which track it was C:

Wait. Do you have the normal 17 track version or the Star Child extended 24 track version? (As far as I know, the box set has the regular LP release.)

MartyMcflies

I have the Star Child extended 24 track version.

JonC
03-10-2014, 02:42 AM
Well then. Are all the albums the Star Child extended versions?
My previous research had indicated that the box sets were only the regular length versions.

(I mean I haven't been able to even find the track lengths for these versions, so this is a bit of a surprise.)

---------- Post added at 06:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:40 PM ----------

Actually, can you send me the folder with the covers?

MartyMcflies

I should probably mention some other things.

The CD Box torrent that I originally got only contained the normal 17 track version. There was actually ANOTHER torrent I found which was the extended 24 track version, so I thought it would be nice to create a folder called "Extras" to put in the 7 extra tracks.

That same torrent I downloaded (which included the Star Child extended 24 track version) didn't have any covers, unfortunately. :l

Okay, well I see how that can cause some confusion.
So you have the 17 track version correctly named and numbered in Japanese.
The extra tracks are presumably not numbered, as they are supposed to be integrated into the overall versions.
So I am assuming the Japanese title names are:
テキサスコロニー
宇宙要塞ソロモン
戦場の死
決戦を前に
輝きの二人
最終防衛線
ア・バオア・クー

Actually, I used your website to translate the songs from the 17 track version into English if you don't mind.

As for the 7 extra tracks, here's how they were numbered in the torrent that I got:

6. Texas Colony (1:50)
10. Space Fortress Solomon (1:01)
12. Death on the Battlefield (2:00)
15. Before the Battle (2:45)
17. Two Shining People (3:23)
20. Last Line of Defense (2:05)
21. Au Bao Ku (5:06)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(edit)
In a little while, I'll post back here and see if those Japanese title names are the correct ones.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Last Edit)
Yep, the Japanese titles are correct.
