Seeing as this thread is new and still (somewhat) fresh, I thought I'd share this interesting article I saw Joseph Trapanese post on facebook:

The time signature of the Terminator score is a mystery for the ages. (http://www.slate.com/articles/arts/culturebox/2014/02/the_time_signature_of_the_terminator_score_is_a_my stery_for_the_ages.html)

Thanks for the link. Terminator is one of my favorite 80's film as is the score. (I remember seeing the film in theater and thinking someone finally figured out how to use Schwarzenegger's physicality to its upmost. That someone was of course James Cameron. Sorry, Conan fans but the Conan films missed the mark. Schwarzenegger's Conan was boring, I much preferred Bergman's Valeria.)

I've always wondered how Fiedel crafted the score - considering the primitive nature of electronic music back then. And the heavy metal 'Clonk" was Fiedel pounding a frying pan. How perfect. And it worked. Reminds me how Poledouris made the heavy metal sounds for Robocop: a sledgehammer against a fire extinguisher.

Sometimes the lo tech, lo fi way works best.

It's fascinating, the techniques composers use and the lengths they go to - to get that perfect sound. It still kills me that we have the complete for T1 and not Judgement Day, my #1 Holy Grail

Amen to that. I keep hoping one day the complete T2 score will appear. (Yeah, I know. When pigs fly. In first class.) Perhaps when the rights revert back to Cameron in a few years. Or if the new Terminator film gets made. I'm hoping at least that will spur the studios to do a 4K re-master of T2 much as was done with Robocop.

P.S. On my list of Holy Grail scores - Sucker Punch. A beautiful mess of a movie. Snyder's narrative reach definitely exceeded his grasp but then what else is heaven for?

When I saw this thread I thought it was as well.

Anyway, I've just checked my copy and it IS called The DEFINITIVE Edition so it's real strange to see it called The Definite Edition.

I own this and always thought it was called the Definitive Edition! Guess I need to pay more attention!

Thanks for the upload, but man oh man why all of the horrible sites? I just spent the past hour and a half downloading from uploaded, only for firefox to crash in the last stages of the download. I mean I know that's firefox's fault but there's still plenty of sites that don't take this long to download, like Mega or Mediafire. Seems like a waste of time uploading it to all of the junk sites v. one of the good sites.

Can't download from turbobit because when somehow my IP range isn't being used up by someone else's IP, the timer for the free download is nothing but a grey box. The site was clearly written by morons, not to mention once you hop to their free link window/tab you get thrown to some malicious ads on the original page.

Downloading now from rapidgator, just as slow as uploaded. This is actually pretty infuriating.
