Did you do the rip on this one?

The Bit Rate is 1416kbps to 1465kbps which is crazy, not sure I have ever done a FLAC rip that high.

Also you know the soundtrack has no Meta Data info correct?

From Intrada

Intrada reissue contains same musical content as pervious La-La Land release albeit slightly different assembly as per composer's supervision. 1/4" two-track stereo tape (later transferred by Intrada to DAT) containing most of score remains all that was ever vaulted of this music. All previous issues (including Japan vinyl edition released in 1979) were prepared from this one precious roll of tape, now presented by Intrada courtesy MGM. If you own LLL release, you have every cue present here. Some changes to actual titles, as per review of composer's manuscripts, clear up minor anomalies on track lists to prior releases. Laurence Rosenthal conducts. Intrada Special Collection release available while quantities and interest remain!

I did a VBR-0 rip of the original and it was 74MB, so maybe it's a 128kbps rip.

Update: Pelham has a VBR-4 MP3 it still sounds fine so the 48MB makes since in that light since this is only a 40 min soundtrack.

I might have to re rip it to see if I can improve it.

IMHO,another very underrated soundtrack.

The reason this is reading a ludicrous bitrate is that it was encoded, for some reason, with FLAC in "uncompressed" format - which is cleverly larger than a regular WAV rip, since it includes all the original data, uncompressed, PLUS the FLAC overhead.
