I was going to say that exactly. A shame, I liked the pairing and the potential. But yeah, needed better writing. And less episode shuffling (it seems as usual they altered the order).

Has it officially been cancelled yet? It's probably a 50-50 call based on cost over viewership. An 8.4 IMDb rating does not get a show renewed, but if it does it will most likely be put in a dead zone like Friday night.

Pity, I think its a great show.

The show started off strong but rapidly lost its audience. It ended with a 0.9 rating. Shows with those kinds of numbers aren't just gasping for breath, they're waiting for Van Helsing to put a stake through their failing hearts. It probably all depends how badly Fox needs an hour long program and do they have a replacement ready for the fall season. Fox renewed "Dads" and its ratings are also stillborn.
