you may say that classical music is based on the traditional music . See, for example, the story of "La Folia"(an old portuguehesh dance) wich is the most representative of the European traditional music to the point that directly influences composers of film music ( Vang�lis 1492 or the last of the mohicans). And therefore traditional music of new world will be the classical music of the future is'nt it ?
