One of the most beautiful Hadjidakis' albums, with the rock band "The New York Rock & Roll Ensemble", composed and recorded in 1969, at New York where the composer lived since 1966. The album contains 10 rock and folk melodies with english lyrics. The work has been re-released later with greek lyrics by Nikos Gatsos and also in an English rendition by the greek band "Raining Pleasure". The music of Hadjithakis is really superb with often a touch of melancholy. Enjoy.

Great upload, my friend Laohu.
I just want to mention these:
Michael Kamen was the leader of "The New York Rock & Roll Ensemble".
He plays keyboards & oboe and renders lead vocals in "Dedication" and "Noble Dame".
My favorite track is "The Day".

On February 10, 2001 after a concert at the Royal Academy of Music in London, Michael Kamen confessed to me at the foaye that Manos Hadjidakis was actually his mentor during the New York years... Those were his exact words...
