This is one thread, I've seen on a few other forums, so I was curious to see which voice over actor/actress, that fellow shriners here, hate the most.

For me, there can be only one voice actor, I hate, loathe and despise.

Cam Clarke.

He did the voice for Kaneda, in the original english dubbed version of Akira, the voice of Leonardo from the cartoon, teenage Mutant Ninja (Hero) Turtles, amongst others. Also, the voices of the following games (I only list them, because I have the games. The games are good, but I hate him!) Ryudo from Grandia II and Zhou Yu in Kessen II.

Apart from those game titles and the listed anime titles, I have seen some other anime, with HIM, voicing some characters. His voice is irritating and annoying, and I really hate him.

But, that's just my opinion of course.

So, who are your most hated voice over actors/actresses?

Spike Spencer. He was the whiny sounding guy who completely screwed up Shinji in Evangelion. I didn't have as much of a problem with him in Nadesico, but I thought there could have been much better choices. These days, the sound of his voice makes me cringe no matter what he's in.

I thought he did a good job in Akira. And Ninja Turtles.

I'm pretty sure I have no real idea who various voice actors are for any series, so I've never picked a least favorite.

Georgette Rose.

Honestly, she's done a decent job with most of the stuff I've seen that she's done.

But she did that voice acting for Chii in the dub of Chobits.

And she was so mind-bogglingly bad that I actually cried.

Yeah, I love Chii a little too much but....ugh. She made her sound like some brain dead sex robot. ; ;

I had to check IMDB to find out who Georgette Rose was. Turns out she usually goes by Michelle Ruff, who I think pretty highly of. As far as her performance as Chii goes, I thought it was pretty comparable to Rie Tanaka's.

i may or may not get berrated for this, but im going to do it anyway. ive never liked the japanese voice overs for SOME shows, in particular cowboy bebop, the series and movie. it seems to me that the american/english voice actors just fit the character/face of better than the japanese.

That would probably be because you heard the English voices first and associated them with the characters. However, I would say the sign of a good dub is being able to easily switch between languages without the characters seeming different. In that regard, Cowboy Bebop's dub failed miserably.

I never liked whoever butchered Miaka's voice in Fushigi Yuugi. Aya in Ayashi no Ceres as well. Yeah, the japanese voices are high pitched as well, but with the english dub.. well.. I thought my ears were going to bleed. (In general, I don't like high-pitched, squeaky, annoying, female english dubbing voices.)

I agree with whoever said Yugi's voice, too. He's so small, but he has such a deep voice. This isn't right!

I can't pick any in particular, but I know I have heard some really bad voice acting before...OH! One that comes to mind is the engdub for Itchi the Killer...Oh...my...God..., but it wasn't just the voice actors that sucked in that show though. It might have been done in Europe because all the voices had a British accent. I have nothing against the Brits and all, it's just the acting wasn't good at all. The kind that leaves a bitter taste in your mouth.
