Another Edit: Happy this was posted because WICKED's anniversary just passed and they released a "new" album to celebrate... with one new song, not even from the show itself! Had they done it right, this is the release we would have seen.

The clue is in the title - i.e. Les Miserables complete show instrumentals. These feature Chris Jahnke's new orchestrations as used for the 25th anniversary production at the 02 in London and subsequent 2011 UK tour.

Anyway, here's a set of 6 stereo instrumental tracks from the original 2003 Broadway cast recording of Wicked - Zippyshare.com (http://www28.zippyshare.com/v/97763166/file.html)

Ah. Okay. Thanks for explaining. Yes, I first noticed that with 'The Wizard and I'. It seemed like it was an actual orchestra, but trademark bits were missing. But please don't misunderstand, I am thrilled to have this. :)

NOTE: I have just updated the 'Les Miserables' set from mono @ MP3 192kps to full stereo @ MP3 320kps. New link and decryption key posted above :-)

Yes I do have it in lossless, but at 1.5 gigs and with the slow internet connection I have, it's not something I'd be prepared to have a go at uploading right now. Plus, there is no real detectable difference in quality between it and the 320kps version I have already shared on here, so best make do with that for now. Having it in lossless isn't going to make it sound any better than it does already :-)

Never got the chance to respond again to this, but the stereo tracks are amazing! I listen to them all the time -- both as sing-along tracks AND as just really cool instrumental background music. Thanks so much for these!!

And additionally, I believe when producing a cast recording, additional musicians are hired. I believe I read this in the cast recording booklet. That's why the orchestral sound os much bigger in the album than even in brpadway itself.
