Hi ppl :)

FF7 was the first FF that i ever played on the Playstation in the 90s. Now 16 years later i found and purchased it on Valve`s Steam for some bucks and played it now for 20 or 21 hours and i dont know but may Im with my 29 years to old because I find it harder than before, at least it seemed to me earlier before much easier. Is there anybody else so or I'm just once again become a FF beginner after so many years xD

so far

Nobody is too old for Final Fantasy :) sounds like you're just not used to it after so long but you'll get there. I kind of wish I could go back to being a beginner again, it makes things much more interesting when everything's not so easy.

I replay it once a year bc I love it so much. It's gotten harder as I've gotten older though. I have less time to really focus with everything else going on in life. I actually ran out of tries sneaking past the guards in the shinra building on my last playthrough hahah. You are not alone my friend!

What Sheechiibii said ^^

I would give even older FFs a try too. They are often more difficult and off less hints on where to go next. Seeing all FF themes you love like the combat and the music made me feel like a "beginner" again. It was great =)

Any game can seem much harder than you remember especially if you mostly play games from the modern era. You'll grow accustomed to the modern controls and play styles and once you go back things can seem weird, different, harder, or simply not as fun as what you remember. But you're definitely not too old for any game you enjoy playing.

You'll just have to spend a long time leveling up. That's what really stops you from doing things in that era FF RPGs.

Not too old for it if you can stomach an overhyped game whose selling point is a timestamp.

You're never too old for anything. I still play Chocobo Racing, although it's aimed at younger kids and i'm 27.

A game about crossdressing, murder, and brothels is hardly aimed at kids, mate.

As other people have stated you are not to old for Final Fantasy, not at all. The elements of the story the games usually convey are mature and have wisdom in them anyway. In the case of Final Fantasy VII the theme is identity; knowing yourself, your reasons to live and what you feel is most important to fight for. The characters namely Cloud undergo tremendous hardships that work to shape the people they are at the end of the game. Anyway I have digressed a bit too far here, sorry about that.

I'll most likely be playing Final Fantasy for years to come.

I played FFVII for the first time last year. I was 27 at the time. I know that's a couple of years younger than you are, but seriously, it doesn't matter at all.

If you enjoy something, go ahead! It matters not what age you are

Like you, I played FFVII on the Playstation in the 90's.

I actually started it again last week - I'm 41 years old this year!

Pfft my grandfather is playing Final Fantasy 7 right now and he's 62. ^_^
Currently working on getting a Gold Chocobo for the Knights of the round. Not at the part that's fun to watch so I'm online.

i thought i was too old when i played FF3, 4, 5 for the first time 8 years ago and thought i would not get into it because of the graphics.. i was wrong.

if you are the sort of person who gets enjoyment out of an epic storyline, then you will most definitely enjoy it.

Its all about the grinding/leveling... ;) But as I grew older I don't like these aspect of the game anymore.

I'm 21, and I played the heck out of FF 7 2 weeks ago since I never finished it as a kid. I don't think you can be too old for FF 7, or any FF games, or games in general.

I personally would say this:I'm in my 30s and still enjoy games.I think very kiddy friendly games are harder to get into. Some stuff that are after my time when i was simply too old for, i didn't get into.FF7 can be fun if you want it to be.Games you liked as a child often you are bound to like it when you are older so:No i don't think you are too old to like ff7.I think it is a silly question.

Hey there Woti :-)

No I don't think you are too old at all. Nobody is too old to have interests/hobbies and people of all ages enjoy computer games. I personally haven't bothered with the FF games in some time, but I still enjoy gaming from time to time although I'm now in my early thirties. I probably always will!

Same for me, I played more than 99 hours to finish the game when it came out and now I'm 29 and don't know if I'll be able to finish it again today...

Im 32 years old, and I am about to get this on my VITA because I neved had a chance to play the game before, so lol no I don't think that you are too old :)

---------- Post added at 02:34 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:32 PM ----------

To be honest, I am revisiting many games from the past (thanks to the VITA for the possibility to play PS1 and some PS2 games) and I find that I enjoy them much more as I can "understand" the game and it's mechanics better as I'm older.

no it is a classic, the story may be silly at times but i think its one of the best games out there

I played at FFVII when I was 12 years old.. I remember I was blocked in the first CD. Actually I was too young to fully understand the gameplay strategies and the story, so I got lost and didnt know where to go to continue the adventure lol. Now I'm 25 and bought the game on the PSN and I'm having a great gaming experience ! This game is amazing ! Maybe you will be shocked at first with the graphics but you will get used to the charm of it. That videogame is not for kids, it's for old teenagers and adults as its not easy to understand and manage to use the materia the best way. Moreover it's full of moral values that some adults would need haha

If anything you can only be too young to appreciate this masterpiece and that's only if graphics make or break a game for you (which is ridiculous).

As for the difficulty though, it's an RPG, so just grind if you're struggling. Personally I find this the easiest game in the series.

Never too old. I've been holding off on sending in my PS3 to get fixed since i've been wanting to get my save data off the hard drive. Now I realize that it's going to be awesome losing all the data so I can relive all the games again. Unfortunately I can't do that like I used to since I don't have the time or want to spend the time to dedicate myself to it like I used to. However I will play.

Now I'm looking forward to sending it in to get repaired :D

Sorry to hear that, I remember when my 60GB broke and I lost all my PS3 saves (oblivion and Fallout 3 with at least 250 hours combined) and all my oher saves, I'd say at least 1,000 gaming hours gone. Thankfully though I was able to save my LBP1 FF level I'd put will over 30 hours into. Still have finished that XD

I played it as well in the 90s when it came out, in my mid30s now, bought it last year so I could play it again. And I still love it. Well what I love is how the characters are blocky and make me think of Legos. It's cute! And the Don Corneo scenes, the cheesy graphics actually sell the scenes better as comedy. If the graphics were like the standard of today, the game would be alot darker/depressing. And older games I would say are harder than games of today. Like trying playing the original Bard's Tale DOS game. It's no walk in the park. Well maybe if it was (South) Central Park...

Nonsense! One is never too old for videos games in general. I think that the interests you held onto from childhood make you an interesting person. It's also a good way to meet people as neurotic as you are. Or is it just me that's insane? XD lol.

Besides, when someone is a fan of something, like FF7, sometimes they want something to show that off. Others who are also fans, and are great with various kinds of crafts, can make those things and sell them. It makes not just good money, but good connections too. Plus, whenever I'm out in public, and I recognize say, a shirt or something, that has fandom based artwork on it, I smile wave and even high five that person, because it's awesome to see someone who is as interested as you are in something like that.

I agree with everyone's sentiments that you are never too old to enjoy video games. I'm pushing 30 myself and I still enjoy gaming as much as I did when I was a kid.

I would like to go back and replay FF7 again someday. I remember sinking a whole summer into it when I was a kid; fond memories.

Never too old to play final fantasy games.

Simply because you have time to make decisions.

I used to love Tomb raider games. But some parts require quick reactions. As you get older can be a problem.
