SQEX-10392~5 | LIGHTNING RETURNS:FINAL FANTASY XIII ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK - VGMdb (http://vgmdb.net/album/40239)

https://mega.co.nz/#!QFwATTaL!Hd6nAVf03yahDLvs5N7n4WWE0y5zV0tpssrb8fS f5Jg

I noticed a while ago that somebody had posted the Lightning Returns soundtrack, and I got way-ass excited. Except...the names were all in Japanese. Now, I mean no disrespect to the uploader or Japan when I say this, but I can't have a quality soundtrack that means something to me have all of its names in squiggly gibberish. I gotta know those NAMES of songs I like, not just the file numbers. So I went onto iTunes and bought music for once in...an undisclosed amount of time.

Now, I uploaded these in M4A, completely unchanged from how I recieved them. Nothing but the best (and occasionally the mediocre) for my fellow Shriners. Some of you may prefer MP3 or FLAC versions. Well, that really sucks if you're expecting me to upload them because I won't. There are plenty of free converters out there, Google is your friend.

So, that's all I have to say. The file is called M4A.zip and it's there for anybody who wants it. Anyone who doesn't, well...I never truly loved you.

This may be slightly off-topic, but how much quality is lost when converting from lossy to lossy? For example, let's just say I want to convert this to V0 VBR MP3.

I did it for myself; I honestly don't hear the difference.

I have my own converted to V0 and all the tags have been corrected a long time ago.

If you could upload it, I'm sure it'd make a lot of people happy.

Really? Ok first off i'm the uploader and I put an English tracklist for the soundtrack where it is CLEARLY VISIBLE. One in the OP and one in the actual download itself.

It literally might take you 10-15 minutes to retag all that stuff and if you are telling me you can't take that kind of time out of your day to edit something you got FOR FREE i really don't know what to say. You better be the president or a 24 hour hooker.

Secondly. I don't only share my uploads here. I also share them on Animeost which gets a large number of both American AND Japanese traffic. Believe it or not i've gotten complaints from Japanese users when i retag everything in English. Some people actually like to for the file names to stay in their original format. And when the composer credits or track names aren't posted on some other site when i upload stuff i HATE changing it to inaccurate information. That's why i never retag them. I seriously can't believe people complain about petty things like this because if i was downloading a soundtrack for FREE i wouldn't care if i had to put in a LITTLE effort........

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you. Although there is a general harshness in the tone of all my original posts, I suppose...

Going back to your version, I realize that you did post the English tracklist, so you have my apologies. I had only originally looked at the files themselves.

Anyway, the file renaming wasn't the only reason I bought this; I had planned to purchase this and a few others a while back, but you posted your version before I got around to it, so I picked that up first. I even downloaded a music tagging program, but decided to go with my original plan in the end.

So again, sorry. I don't like making people too mad on this site to the point of getting a response such as this, so I concede that I could have chosen my wording more appropriately.

this is perfect! I only like original purchased itunes store files.
I have the XIII-2 OST that I bought from iTunes Japan. It was SOOO expensive, 3000+ yen.
I had to spend $60 to buy a 5000 yen itunes card just to buy it D:

I don't have XIII-2 available, but I'm sure that searching the forums a bit will get you what you need.

As far as reuploading, my place doesn't currently have Internet. I won't be able to do it for weeks or longer, like even more weeks.

Perhaps somebody might be kind enough to upload a mirror, or have you tried using the Chrome browser?

Is there any way someone could upload these in mp3 format?

Audacity isn't allowing me to open m4a files.

If someone could help me out with this, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks you.

Since you don't want to use iTunes, try Foobar.

Or just convert the format yourself. m4a is a container format, after all.

I believe Media Player Classic and VLC Media Player should be able to. Classic loads faster, though.

Not to bump an ancient thread but just wanted to add thanks so much. Don't know why the original uploader got so mad...There's four discs, time is money and plenty of people would rather pay money than use their time...It's called convenience! I would probably have tagged everything back before I valued my time though, or if it had been like 12 tracks, but not like 50 tracks! It makes much more sense for one person to retag or buy and upload for those who can't read Japanese and prefer to see it in English. I have been listening to this OST in my car for a week now and while I was able to memorize a lot of my favorite tracks it wasn't scrobbling correctly and I wanted to know what the tracks were called so this is great, thanks!

You're welcome! Anyway, I think the original uploader was more concerned with the way I complained about their upload rather than what I was trying to contribute. But, that situation is done and gone now. Thanks for commenting!
