This got an official CD release recently and I bought it just for the sake of supporting the industry, but I decided I preferred my old analog recordings over the 'remastered' ones. So here's my recording from a real NES.

A couple things to mention: first, I didn't let the map song play completely through once. Those familiar with this music know it's really long, anyways I faded it out about 45 seconds after the second 'change' (about 4:30). Next, I 'looped' the ending Star Spangled Banner theme. It may sound a little unnatural. Also, the opening song 'Old Nick' has some extra melody sounds and comes to a full stop on the CD version, whereas the one I had recorded from the game just repeated one short phrase over and over. I don't know if it's something the JP version has, but anyways only that track I took from the CD and used instead of my version. So only that track is not analog. No jingles, except for the level completion song. As always, I really tried to get the volumes on all tracks to match.

Lastly, I added some bonus tracks to this album. These are the songs from the other games on the Meldac CD I thought were worthwhile. They're labeled 'bonus 1, bonus 2' etc in the download. The tracks are: level 1 from Tenjin Kaisen, staff roll from Tenjin Kaisen 2, the 3 main level themes from Heiankyo Alien, and the arrange of level 1 from Heiankyo. Enjoy!

>Samurai Zombie Nation

Just looking at this collection of words makes me feel like I've slipped into some fucking bizarro world.

Much like the game itself.

Thanks for this, bro.

Full agreement, I was shocked to see the info for the CD and the game itself it completely out there. A number of the tracks can only be described as musical genius.
