The sountrack we should all be thankful for: the one that made a young unknown Steven Spielberg hire a well known John Williams to compose the music for his first feature film in 1974: The Sugarland Express. The rest of the story, well, you know... :)

Included here is the 1995 CD that includes an extra track not released on the original 1969 LP and a bootleg version released "God knows when" that also featured music from 1973's "Cinderella Lyberty" (not included here).

The bootleg features the exact same content from the 1995 CD plus two concert versions. However, the sound quality is WAY superior. Hard to believe coming from a bootleg, but it's true. The channels were reversed, so I simply swapped them. I don't know if a different source was used (doesn't seem to be a vinyl transfer either) or if just a superb EQ work was done. Anyway, both releases are included here. You'll be the judge!

Tracklist (1995 CD):
1. Main Title/First Instruction/The Winton Flyer
2. Family Funeral/Lucious' First Drive
3. The Road to Memphis
4. Corrie's Entrance/The Picture
5. Reflections [#]
6. The Sherriff Departs/The Bad News/Ned's Secret
7. Memphis
8. Ned's Trade
9. The People Protest
10. Prayers at Bedtime
11. Lucius Runs to Corrie/Back Home
12. Finale

Thanks for sharing this, phbart. Here is an alternate set of scans of the Legacy release which include the inner side of the booklet: "The Reivers" by John Williams - MusicBrainz (http://musicbrainz.org/release/02c7c962-f9d0-4f89-aa28-ef02c3ea7831/cover-art)

That's certainly useful. I thought it was one of those artworks were the inlay was just blank...

Thank you :)

The bootleg does sound better, thank you phbart. The best version of all I think is the suite narrated by Burgess Meredith with the Boston Pops.
