I've been looking everywhere for the Bullet Bill Brigade and Bullet Bill Express tracks, but I simply can't find them. I downloaded this soundtrack and am trying to get a complete version of it, and I'm missing these two songs. I've searched Youtube, Google, etc. to no avail. Haha I know what you mean. This is the most excited I've ever been for a soundtrack. I check anyway just to be sure... I also do a Google search once a day, cause ya never know. I hope there will be more jazzy/big band music like this in more Mario games. I think it fits Mario games really well. Even though I thought Sticker Star was pretty meh, I did like the jazzy music In that game too.

The word "ripping" means... extracting files from .... stuff.

It's the exact opposite of "burning". It's called "ripping" the songs from the CD.

Believe he meant soundtrack rip as opposed to gamerip.

I'm pretty sure people can rip from the CD like any other CD. I mean, I've ripped music from CDs I've owned before, but if anyone here gets their hands on the OST cd later on, I just hope they rip it and upload it here or somewhere else it can be freely DL'ed, but I think we get the idea.

Not only enjoying the perfect rips would be amazing to hear, but that would be useful in videos, or other fanmade material. (Ex. Flashes, GMod/SFM stuff, etc, etc.)

It's like they think nobody outside of Japan wants their music... when people outside of Japan are probably just as (if not more) into video game music. The Pokemon X & Y soundtrack was released digitally outside of Japan, so I don't see why they can't at least do that for other soundtracks too...

That Majora's Mask re-release they did for 2013 Platinum members was a disappointment. It was the same exact soundtrack from 2000, but with an updated CD cover. If they had fixed the looping issues in the US soundtrack it would have been worth it. I love Nintendo and Club Nintendo is a great idea for loyal customers, but the rewards are just downright terrible. The only things that have been worth getting on there were the Skyward Sword poster set and Gold Wii Nunchuk.

Back to your point about music, you are right on all accounts, but I wish they would offer their soundtracks on outlets other than iTunes. I will never buy music from iTunes.

Nintendo doesn't handle the OST's actually, they license them out to other publishers. (even the Nintendo Club stuff is not handled directly by them, I believe) However, like -Dragon- said, why don't they release them all digitally themselves? Namco, Sega, and even Pokemon X & Y are all on there, so what's the deal? not sure how much publishing them on iTunes cost, but it has to be way, WAY, below making physical CDs, even if it's only a Japanese release. They put so much into Skyward Sword being orchestral and such, and yet there is no full OST of it. makes no sense.

Nintendo is simply years behind everybody else, it seems. especially with all the other crap they do. (and I say this as an Nintendo fan)

It's so awesome to hear these songs without sound effects! It sounds like track 3 is the version of that song without the little intro that world 1-1 has which would have been nice to have, but at least it got a soundtrack at all, so I shouldn't complain. :p I'm sooo excited for this!

I'm in the middle of providing a translation of the song titles for those of you that care for that sort of thing.

There's English titles on VGMdb now. Most of the songs are the same as the English level names that the music plays on. I just used this one when I renamed the files.

It was me. There wasn't a preview of disc 2 or tracklist, so I didn't know there would be an alternate version of that song that included it. It's not my #1 favorite song in the game, but I'm glad it did get that intro too. The more complete the better right? It's pretty cool that the Sunshine Seaside music also has the underwater version of the song in it. :)

Beep Block Skyway sounds SO AWFUL on the official CD, holy shit!

They murdered all the spacey sounds, it's a lot dryer-sounding, and there's no beeps :(

Lava Rock Lair also suffers from that dryness, but to a much smaller extent.

Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't even notice while playing the game that the blocks beeped and changed in rhythm with the music! It also doesn't speed up when you get down to 100 seconds remaining so the rhythm is kept. Maybe this will go some way toward alleviating your sadness:

I had to boost the volume quite a bit to make it similar to the album version but they aren't the same throughout as the album one stays more consistent where in-game it changes more. The CD one has boosted treble and clearer bass which also complicates the perception of volume. It shouldn't stand out from the other tracks when listening to the whole soundtrack though.

Why not just rip the beep and slam sounds from Galaxy 2 and mix it yourself? :P

1) Don't have Galaxy 2.
2) This was way easier.
3) There's more difference than just the beeps and crashes.

1) I've provided the playlist above. Just save those into "disc1.txt" and "disc2.txt" without quotations respectively.

2) Put "disc1.txt" into the "Disc 1" folder. Also put "disc2.txt" into the "Disc 2" folder.

3) Go into the "Disc 1" folder and type:
ls > dir; while read line; do mv "$line" "`cat disc1.txt | grep ${line:0:2}`.mp3"; done < dir

4) Go into the "Disc 2" folder and type:
ls > dir; while read line; do mv "$line" "`cat disc2.txt | grep ${line:0:2}`.mp3"; done < dir

5) That's it!

You can also use those files with MP3Tag. Just browse and select the file and set the import command to $num(%track%, 2) - %title%
