WOW Just listened to it all. Why oh why was all this musical bliss shoved to the side of the Series 1 & 2 soundtrack.
It was all Series 1 music re-recorded with the national orchestra and thus reused in Series 2. I guess thats why they call it the Series 1 & 2 Album. Because its Series 1 music re-recorded for Series 2.
When you think of it like that then we never really had any music from the episodes and instead, much like the upcoming 50th album, its Murray Gold's highlights of Series 1 & 2 rather than actual scores from episodes in their own episode collections. Such a shame.

The silences are trimmed, sound eualized the best I can, the mp3 256 tracks in the corresponding Master Tapes have replaced their 128 counterparts, the main title added after the pre-title track and full main theme added in lieu of end credits, which I don't seem to have. i also placed the track Madame De pompadour from the Series 1 & 2 ost ON THE END AS A SORT OF BONUS TRACK.

So, I was goofing around with Audacity to trim the silences and when it came to the dialog track "GitF - Track 02b", I was able to 'cut out' the dialog. Let me know what you think:

I just opened the track in Audacity and then moved the 'pan control' meter (controls the balance between the left and right speakers) all the way over to 'R' (as pointed out below) so it omits the left channel:

I was then able to slice the 'dead air' at the beginning and end of the track by using the 'cut' feature; basically click in the area you want to start or end the cut:

Then move your mouse cursor in the direction of the area you want to cut (it will highlight this area) and then click on the scissor icon:

Once you excise the 'dead air' from the track (after I cut it from the beginning of the track, I repeated the process for the end of the track) I then exported it as an mp3 file. Sometimes I'll use the 'Fade Out' feature under the 'Effect' menu for a smoother fade out towards the end of a track (same for 'Fade In' at the beginning of a track if necessary). I've goofed around with Audacity for awhile - a lot of trial and error lol. It was definitely tough for me when I edited a Genesis live radio concert (that I bought on CD) that included announcers yapping right before or after commercial breaks! Sometimes they will yap right when a song is about to start.

Yea, I know how to cut and fade. Necessary when ripping open/end credits off netflix...I was just curious how you removed the voices. Either way, your edit now takes it's place in my library.
