I'm working on the next project already (aside from James Bond Nightfire: Source).

My goal is to rescore the whole James Bond GoldenEye movie. My goal is to keep the vibe and feeling of Eric Serra's original soundtrack, which was beloved by some of the fans. Still I want to give it some update it a little bit and give a little bit of my own twist.

Cool stuff GoldenZen - been following your work on GE Source for a while now. I'm really digging a lot of your choices here. Are you planning on releasing your version of the score SFX-free when this is all over with?

As a matter of fact I just got a reply from a label that they will licence it. So we're good to go.

And hated by most. In fact, it's the most hated JB score, followed by Legrand's strangely misguided "Never Say Never Again".

If you wanna keep the tone of Serra's score, frankly, I don't know why you even bother.

I'm trying to build a bridge here. To keep what was good about Serras soundtrack and push into another direction so also the other James Bond fans might like it.

I�m really like the direction that you choose for the music style.
But i have another question.
Did you maybe still have some of the music from Goldeneye: Source that you composed?
The Point is that the highest quality that i found goes from MP3 128 to 192!
So i was thinking if you still have the music in a better quality?
Or maybe some "Alternates"?

I would like to see a more official Bond score to Never Say Never Again

I have no idea how you "re-score" something like this, but it sounds really nice so far. I'm a big fan of Serra's as well and I was disappointed by the score release, so it would be really nice to have some version of a complete score. I like what you're bringing to it from what I've heard. There are still sound effects and whatnot on the youtube clips. I take it you've done that on purpose? So you don't undercut the score you say is getting licensed? I trust you'll keep us up to date so we can order it when it's available?

Holy crap. This is phenomenal. The music when Bond escapes the Facility! Nice big Bond theme to round it off as well. (I was convinced I heard that as a child, but it seemed to be a fake memory stuck in my head, and that is EXACTLY how I pictured it) This is honestly brilliant. Can't wait to hear your use of the Bond theme in the tank chase etc. Keep it up bro!

This really is some interesting work. Although I agree that Serra's score is the absolute worst Bond score - I'm impressed with your stuff.

But hey, I'd prefer you rescored it in a Tangerine Dream style. It'd horrify Bond purists, but I'd love it !!!

Ok, I'm pretty excited about this. Awesome teaser - both sonically and visually. Very cool graphics.

On a side note, I love that "hollow drum boom" sound that riddles the original GoldenEye score (and the game, too). It perfectly fits the GoldenEye experience and I'm thrilled that you incorporated it into your re-score...

As for the "hollow drum" sound - That's a thing that took me about 6 years of work to recreate it as close to the original as I could.
