They are in Ogg Vorbis format, converted from SNDH files, compressed in 7zip packs.

great share. If you should get some more Atari ST soundtracks, feel free to upload them as well :)

Glad you like.:3 I dunno what else to get. I discovered Tim Fiollin four days ago and I'm highly interested in his work now... but I'll give a break from converting these; it's too much work. I wish we had a tool to convert SNDH to Microsoft WAVE or even raw audio, so I wouldn't have to record output from soundcard.

..................They are in Ogg Vorbis format, converted from SNDH files.......
Does that mean is emulated music?.... Great music but when it comes to this kind of FM chips, nothing beats the real thing. No offense, but, despite your effort of "converting", I'd rather download those files and "convert" them myself or just listen to them with a plugin. I don't get the way you explain the "conversion" method, did you recorded from the output of an ST or your PC soundcard? Or you mean you recorded the audio stream with a program while playing?

I used Audacity (to record), Pulseaudio Volume Control (to make the PC record what the soundcard was playing) and Audio Overload (to play the files). I don't think there's an application to record from a ST chip.x3 Also, I think that nothing beats the original indeed. I could make the SNDH files play in Audio Overload through padsp, but I don't like switching from player to player, as AO is getting old and the lack of updates make it uncompatible with some files. I have Winamp to listen to most chiptunes in emulated formats, but Winamp got a problem with YM and SNDH chiptunes. The YM plugin is buggy and there's no SNDH plugin for Winamp. Plus, not a lot of people is aware of these tricks we do to play chiptunes and AO is buggy in Linux machines running anything that isn't the OSS driver (myself run Pulseaudio, so I need to start AO through padsp to make it work, but not everyone is willing to do the things I do to make some applications work). I'm doing this mostly for the convenience of listening to everything in a single player, Winamp, and save myself from the effort of switching between different programs for different files. I figured that it's annoying not only for me, so I provide the files for those who have the same problem. I know Winjam is able to play SNDH, but I don't know if it can play other file formats I'm interested in playing. Depending on the research resuts, I could switch to Winjam... but Winamp is so nice...

Too much work for recording emulated music, don't you think? It would be easier to record from the ST audio output.

This is what I think of flac/vorbis/etc of chiptunes made from sound code rips and emulators. *fart*

It should be banned from this forum. >:[

All we need is a sticky thread linking all the rip archives and players, and directions on how to use these simple, simple things, and making your own flac/mp3/etc from them if need be.

That would be an excellent idea. Video rips from video sites should really really be banned too.
