Track Listing:

Note: Just in time for the holidays I present to you my custom expanded score of Joseph Bishara's bizarre, chilling and terrifyingly atmospheric score for James Wan's The Conjuring. The extra cues were recovered from the Bluray 5.1 track but simply due to how clean most of the new cues were, I supplemented them into the existing material versus creating a whole new track which to me helps pad out each of the (originally) short tracks. I liked the film, loved the score but felt more could've been included on the album if only an extra cue or two from the finale. Quite a lot is here but not everything. There is SFX in the track Clap Game at the beginning but it's a short cue so it should not hinder the experience. Everything else is clean.

The additions were short pieces and appear in the tracks Annabelle (track 1), Clap Game (track 4), Maurice (track 5), Witch Perch (track 6), Black Bile (track 9), Wall Searching (track 13, very very short addition) and Hanging Drop (track 14). The rest was included on LLLR's edition of the album.

The additions may be miniscule (a mere 3 minutes more than the LLLR album) but I personally think they help make the experience more enjoyable. The included selections from LLLR were definitely nice but just a little more like what I've included here would've been great.

I did not include the end credits music as it was simply the tracks "The Soaring Entities" and "The Conjuring" mixed together and it felt redundant to include them hence their exclusion.

Enjoy and stay scared! Have a safe holiday. It's raining in my area so my parade is literally being rained on. What horseshit. Everyone else enjoy your day and night!

I'm looking forward to watching it again after getting the BluRay. I've been playing the soundtrack a lot. The Warren wife is in that documentary My Amityville Horror. She seemed like a flake to me (proclaiming a wood shard to be part of The True Cross), but I guess you never know...

Cool work. Definitely the finest horror film of the year. Had me gripping my pillow to death by the end.

It replaces Insidious by a mile.

Thanks for the work.

None taken. I REALLY didn't see that request. Sorry. Now that I've seen it, I can say I too would like a cover made with the hanging tree poster (the match picture doesn't fit very well for me). Thanks for that in advance. Also, I'm OK with leaving "Based on the true case files of The Warrens" but I woudn't like if it also said "From the director of Saw and Insidious". I don't know, it just feels weird.

Don't mind Dak. He's just a bit OCD like me but a little worse. No offense to you, Dak. Remember, we're both Malcolm in the Middles from two completely different backgrounds. You be Malcolm since you're the smarter one, I'll be Reese because I'm the older brother that likes to get into trouble, doesn't give a shit and possesses an unexpected talent but unlike Reese actually has a heart (if that makes sense given the lack of shit giving). Who is our Dewey in the equation?

Did anyone else notice the weird intro to "Hanging Drop"? It starts very suddenly, like if it was cut in half. Too bad, because it's one of the best cues here.

I always used to notice that about John Ottman using half-sounds as I called it. The intro you refer to is how it was played in the film.

Does anyone know what is the track played when Carolyn is on the basement stairs with a match and two hands clap behind her? I haven't had much time to watch the movie again to compare, so thanks for the answer in advance.

OK, thanks! Yeah, I thought that too but then I remembered the closet clap so I deleted that possibility. But then I saw the length of it: 6:43 so I think you're right. Thanks for the reply! And where does the track "Maurice" fits in the film?

Track 6, Witch Perch I think is what you mean. There was a quick clapping sound right before the stinger that I cut out.

Yeah, I knew there was something that deleted Clap Game from the possibilities. I think Clap Game is from where Carolyn is playing Hide-and-Clap with April and she hears two children's hands clap in the closet. Anyway, thanks cody! One more question: what is the track played when the witch is on top of the closet and it jumps over Andrea? And when is track 5 (Maurice) played in the movie? Thanks in advance.

Is it just me or is there also SFX in the track Black Bile? And isn't the track Maurice supposed to come AFTER Witch Perch? And shouldn't the intro of Clap Game play BEFORE Dead Birds? Please check this for me. Thanks in advance.

I compared the album to the chronological order of the 5.1 track during the editing process and I lost place somewhere in the middle. It was a tricky project. The order is for the most part chronological but I kinda had to guess for The Clap Game and Maurice. I made sure to listen to my edits to ensure they worked in the pseudo-chronological format. It works for me.

I saw it in theaters and the part where the ghost is behind the door and there's that very low and deep rumbling that just swells until subsiding and the shock of the hard smack of the door slamming nearly jolted me out of my seat. The bass really helped to sell the shocks and it wasn't overused. The movie is still kind of boring though in places.

Yeah, I'm sure that Witch Perch comes before Maurice but I still have doubts on Clap Game intro. It is from when they find Sadie's dead body right? And I'm almost certain that part happens before Roger finds the bird breaking its neck against the window (Dead Birds).
