NOTES

Words are useless.
Lou Reed has passed away.

Just listen.
Listen and feel the beauty of loneliness and of pain.

"Men of good fortune, often wish that they could die
While men of poor beginnings want what they have
And to get it they'll die".

"This is the place where we used to live
I paid for it with love and blood.
And this is the room where she took the razor
And cut her wrists that strange and fateful night".

Of course this album is a soundtrack:
It's a tragic rock opera about a doomed couple,
and addresses themes of drug use, prostitution,
depression, domestic violence, suicide, and love.

Mine too, since I've heard it 40 years ago.
The "Company" is the best I've ever seen in a single album.

I shed many tears for Lou Reed yesterday. When I saw it on Yahoo! news, I was in denial. The report was from Rolling Stone and I thought to myself "pshh, what the hell does Rolling Stone know?" I didn't believe it. And then I saw reports from The Daily News, Huffington Post and a few others. Then it hit me. Lou Reed, Godfather of Punk - was gone. I was so distraught. I listened to Reed and The Velvet Underground the rest of the day. I still am, actually. Listening to "Pale Blue Eyes" right now, one of my Velvet favorites. Petros, thank you very much for the share. It will never ever fill the void, but it will help me grieve. Thanks. :)

Posting this is expression enough. You do not need to know the English language for something like this. Thanks again

I like your avatar. That album produced so many great songs including Walk on the Wild Side, Perfect Day & Satellite of Love. Not to mention Vicious.

You are right, my friend.
But "Berlin" produced:Lady Day, Men Of Good Fortune, How Do You Think It Feels,
Caroline Says II, The Kids and The Bed.
I don't know why, but I used to prefer "Berlin" since my teens.
Maybe because there is melancholy in every melody.
