NEW ZIPPED ARCHIVE DOWNLOAD OPTIONS POSTED IN MY REPLY (#20) BELOW

I wanted to share something in return as I have found many wonderful soundtracks here and expect I'll find more in the future. A huge thanks to users such as Bal-Sagoth, StereoElf, WildwoodPark, laohu, Yannis, sadsack, codyap09, Spectre8750 and many others who’ve shared some soundtracks I deeply appreciate having access to. My own library doesn’t lend itself all that well to sharing in this particular genre, but on reviewing my collection I thought that this upload might be relevant and appreciated on some level.

Here is the complete Warner Brothers Sound Effects Library and the complete Hanna Barbera Sound Effects Library, featuring oodles of classic, royalty free sound effects. All files are converted to FLAC from original disc files and in some cases track names have been corrected (examples, when I first imported one CD years ago in ITunes, the database turned all the track names in to French with vocal approximations describing some tracks - one was named “Owwowoowow,” one track of a “screwy squeaky motor” was misinterpreted as “Insectes Bizarres,” another “typewriter bell” was interpreted as “Dongdongdong,” to give you an idea of how amusing but unhelpful they were.)

Also included is a “PDF and Pix” folder which contains full PDF track listings for each CD in both collections. It is strongly recommended that you download them, especially if you want a good overview of what can be found in each collection or value reference guides. I cannot help with any further cues, organization, or scans, but a few token pictures are included.

Most of the tracks contain variations of a sound effect or sound effect build, as well as other sound effects either related to the first named effect or not related at all. For example, track 39 on CD one of the WB Library is titled “Quiet Whispering and Giant Sneeze” but also contains SFX for “casting a fishing line and reeling in a fish” as part of the same track. Sub tracks are listed as “-1” “-2”, so it’s worth downloading and perusing the PDF track listings to uncover the full extent of these collections. Typically a sound effect plays, then there are a few seconds of silence, then another plays. The Hanna Barbera volumes have a ton of sub tracks.

Several CDs, such as WB 2, WB 4 and WB 5 have track titles that include all sound effect sub track names, which is again a by-product of an early ITunes import. Despite the inconsistencies, without early import IDs each CD track name would have been named only “track 1,” “track 2” etc as cross referencing came from checking the printed book that came with the series. Ex. "Want a car horn?” Search the reference book for desired content, then note which CD and track number they appear on. Unfortunately I cannot provide the reference book that came with these collections but the PDF’s and track names make identifying tracks and searching for individual sound effects a reasonably comfortable process.

Each CD has 99 tracks. When converted from FLAC back to uncompressed form, these two collections contain almost 6 Gigs of amazing, unique sound effects.

Happy Listening.

Thanks a lot!
But, could you "regroup" the files in one link (I mean, 1 CD, 1 link) instead of the folder system?
If it's okay with you, of course.

Hello. What happens when you try to download from the links? Do you get the option to download a zip of the individual folder (which contains an entire CD) or does it take you to all the tracks inside the folder? I'm trying to make the links go directly to downloading a zip for each CD. With Mega I have "share," "link" or "download zip" options for each folder but if I chose the "download zip" one I don't get a link I can then copy and paste, it just downloads. "Share" seems to be designed to work only through e-mail. So the only option I see using is "link" and including the key. I still don't know if this is working correctly for others. I don't know if I should put the uploaded folders inside new folders, or be using some other way of linking to the files. I'll be happy to upload this all again in a different manner, just want to see if I am doing anything wrong first and get that corrected.

DERP - I now know I was forgetting to zip files together. Will add download alternatives ASAP.

Okay, nevermind, I found how to download.
A little explanation: the links you provided are folder links. And I'm used to download MEGA links as archives. But after reading your answer, I finally understood how to batch download files from folder links. So... discard my previous comment, and sorry for the inconvenience.

Well, sendspace for example would be awesome. The thing is that I can't use Google Crhome as my screenreader makes me work with Internet Explorer 8, which for some weird reason still can't work with Mega.

OK, yes - I know Mega has problems unless you use Chrome. I couldn't use it with FireFox and discovered it that way. I will see what I can do. Give me a day or so and I will have some alternate download links added to the original post.

I now realize that I was only focused on the FLAC conversions and forgot all about zipping folders before uploading. Did I mention I am new at this? Alternative uploads on the way, but I'll keep the original oddly formatted Mega upload as is. If nothing else it's an interesting way to review the contents of each CD.

As Tangotreats say ( and it's true, I confirm )...they are not problems anymore to use Mega under Firefox...I had to confirm 1 for ever that I wan to D/L more than 99 mb from "That Server"...from that day I have D/L many stuff ( from our friend Petros and others ) from Mega...I'm a Firefox user, I never have use I.E. in my life...so for that "figure" I will not speak ( before I was use Netscape ), but I use both Chrome and Firefox...each have his qualities ( I think or have the "impression" to D/L more fast under Firefox, but when I want to surf I use Chrome.... )
Anecdote : one day that I remember...I had 138 Firefox Windows Open...and I could use my Browser for make a Post !!!

What was happening with me with Firefox was the downloads would seize up at some percentage and would never complete. Don't know why that is, but it was this site that got me to finally start using Chrome as an alternative at times, because I noticed it sailed through Mega downloads with no problems. How the heck does anyone ever get to where they'd have 138 windows open at the same time? : ) I think I start closing tabs if I ever get past a half dozen or so. It makes me uptight if I feel I have too many things open.

I had the same symptoms with Firefox and Mega, till an "update" of Firefox, then Firefox ask me : "Can I D/L ALWAYS more than 99 MB ( or something to do with % if I remember ) from that Server...I says yes ( I would not say no :) )...and from then, no problems anymore...I just think, for those who still have problems...to stay on the D/L tab, till that MSS appear, because I think MSS goes alone if you surf on other tabs....and not BE THERE when MSS came...
Thank to open more tabs in my Honor...you have to know that, if you don't go to use a tab, the URL not open, I mean you can have 1000 tabs open, if you use 2...your RAM suffering for 2, not for 1000...you understand...and as I use to never close my Server, I did not had to wait for a restart with 138 tabs....when I was restart ( I have put "open same windows when restart" )...it was the same, no problems of RAM if you don't open the 138 windows simultaneous !!! I done that to have some "places" to explore but without Bookmarked them...I have more problems with my amount of Cables ( I think they are Alive... :) )...than my amount of tabs ;) !!!
It's your first post, and you made "Tilt"...well done my Friend !!!
