In Memoriam of a Great Composer, Sunday was a very sad and depressive day for Film Music Aficionados, we lost a Magnificent Artist and a Wonderful Human Being.

He will be forever missed but always remembered!

His music will be loved and admired for Generations to come!

Ha! What a thrillingly silly movie! Lena Olin chewing scenery with the unsalvageable ultimacy of a Langolier, Frank Langella as the bull in a China shop, Emmanuelle Seigner's smugly self-satisfied psychic, euro-trash-bashing siren of Satan stroking her hopelessly devoted svengali lothario-turned-helpless hand puppet Johnny Depp... and the only thing telling you to take this carny freak show seriously is its score. So, thank God for Wojciech Kilar's romantically Gothic score... otherwise we'd be watching this movie in an art house at midnight -- dressed in lingerie, wearing newspaper hats, heckling the action and pelting the screen with cheese-corn.

In other words, great post. You've parted the cloud cover just enough to send a ray of light through my office window and torch the monkey on my back painting my rosy spectacles blue.
