How so? It's the same on like 4 tracks. but mostly redone in much better quality. either orchestrated like outset sounds. or newer more modern synthesisers that sound way better. Can't see how anyone would think this is worse.

Overall, I like the original soundtrack much better. Some instruments, like brass, woodwinds or percussion, which really sound good most of the battle themes. As for "Ocean", I really can't tell any important difference from the original, it doesn't sound "more heroic" or "more orchestral" than the (already excellent!) original to me. Some tracks, however, sound worse than than the original ones. "Windfall Island" for example is missing a lot of energy in its percussion, even with the updated sound and one of my favorite themes, "Dragon Roost Island" is missing its bass line entirely, which is quite a shame. Also, why didn't they update the sound here? A few live instruments here and there wouldn't be too much, or Nintendo!? Why does Mario get all the love :( Well, but as a fan bonus I guess it serves its purpose quite well... ;) Thanks again for the original upload!

I'll have to step in and agree with you, Molgera's theme had its bass line removed as well and it sounds nowhere near as powerful.

"Dragon Roost Island" is missing its bass line entirely, which is quite a shame.

That bass line was never in the game version of that piece. They probably created this soundtrack from the game audio, which would explain its absence this time.

I just hope someone could scan the Cover and the booklet. It kinds of bug me having a cover smaller than 300 px.

There's something weird going on with the quality of these files:



That hard cutoff at 16 kHz is typical of a low bit rate mp3 encode (say, 128kb), definitely not a 320kb encode.

It means one of two things:
Either the source audio encoded on the source CD doesn't contain any frequencies above 16 kHz, or these files were encoded at a low bit rate, then up-encoded to 320kb for no reason.
