Here's a nifty little set I bought today, featuring selections from Khachaturian's Gayane (which includes the famous "Sabre Dance") and Spartacus ballets, as well as incidental music from Ruben Simonov's Masquerade. The set comes as performed by the St. Petersburg State Symphony Orchestra under conduction of Andr Anichanov. Enjoy and comment freely.

Thanks Chronos. I was first introduced to Khachaturian after watching the TV series The Onedin Line in the '70s and hearing part of the moving Adagio of Spartacus and Phrygia on the opening credits (track 9).

Thank you. I love this music. In case you didn't already know, there is an incredible complete performance of SPARTACUS by the Bolshoi on youtube, check it out.
