Anyone reading the discussion below and wondering, my folder in mediafire has the STEREO rips. I deleted the mono ones as soon as I started re-recording everything.

Also, apparently every digital copy of Pokemon Y outputs in mono if you have your 3DS set to stereo. If you set it to Surround, the game outputs in stereo fine.
This only happens in digital Y. Digital X and both physical versions work fine.

The music is like that in-game. No clue as to why, maybe it's some error in my version?
Here, I just recorded Prof Layton vs Ace Attorney's 3ds title (very obvious stereo), so the problem isn't with my recording equipment.

Have you gone into the game's options and selected stereo? Sometimes it's set to mono by default.

Also, the XY 3DS title you recorded is the only XY track in stereo. If the settings don't work, check Layton in-game to see if it's a bigger problem.

X & Y don't have the mono/stereo option anymore. And I don't think it's a problem with my 3ds because I recorded Monster Hunter 4's soundtrack with no problem (you can check it in my channel).

Are you serious? I believe you, but.... I'm shocked. I wouldn't be surprised if they did it just to get people to buy the album, but after they spent so much time hyping the game's music, that's a crummy way to include it.

The version I'm playing is digital Japanese Y in my regular Japanese 3ds. I'll be getting physical American X tomorrow for my American XL, and will check if anything changes.

The Super Complete also includes unreleased material from previous games, but I'm sure there's plenty more XY material as well!

Oh yeah don't worry dude, turns out the stereo on this rip is AWESOME enough for me to hear. See in the previous games, especially the DS ones, the stereo split the whole song LITERALLY right down in half so I always had to convert them to Mono personally. But these ones don't do that so this is still good, thanks! :D

I still have the mono tracks, but they only go up to track 60 and some are misnamed.
I can upload them if you want.
