Besides, the number of people who care about having the greatest possible audio quality are greatly dwarfed by the number of people who don't care all that much. That's why DVDs still sell great. The average joe doesn't want to spend the extra money for a Blu-Ray and can't tell the difference anyway (or just doesn't care).
