I just completed Grim Fandango for the hundreth time (well not really one hundred, I was exagerating,) and I felt the game seemed too short, its such a brilliant classic, game I want to play more of it, and well it just seemed too short. Does anyone share these views?

Oh why won't they release a Grim Fandango 2? That'd be brilliant as well.

It's not too short.

And they won't make a part two because the first sold terribly.

Scenario two is like the greatest adventure game experience ever.

Scenarios 1,3 and 4 are ok too.

All the good games seem too short.

I don't consider MMORPGS to be "good" games.

There are lots of great games that are too short.

I figure that it evens out though- it only takes me an hour or so to beat Space Channel 5 Part 2, but I've played it through several dozen times.

Yess this game is very good!!

and it is way underrated!!
i remember it was in the top5 underrated games ever (according to gamespott)
and i agree, so those of you who havn't played it yet, should consider buying it somewhere for 5euro's (or dollars) and start playing it!

Grim Fandango gets constant appreciation. You'll almost never hear anything bad about it. The gaming media loves it and loved it when it came out. It's not underrated, it just didn't sell well. Gamespot had a convoluted system of determining what was "underrated". They had Virtua Fighter 4 on the list, I believe, even though it's considered the best fighter ever by many many people and sold several hundred thousand copies.

Ndi, I don't really consider games that you can play through over and over again too short. A lot of games are designed for replay value and not length. Like shmups that take 15 minutes to complete, but you can play them for months. But... if they take 15 minutes to complete and give you no real reason to have another go, that's a different story.

It's an adventure games.
When you play them for the hundredth time, they just are short, because you know how to solve the riddles, know exactly what to do, where to go, what to say, etc.

I don't remember how long it took me to finish Grim Fandango the first time round, but I didn't have the impression that it was too short. I got stuck at some parts, and it took me a whiiile to figure some things out. That's the beauty of these games, yay.

I thought, for example, Loom was shorter. :o

And a sequel... Naw. There wouldn't be a way to continue the story. The thing has been conlcuded rather... without leaving room for sequels. Besides, Grimf's uniqueness is one of its charms. ^.^

Plus... evil Lucasarts... they'd not produce a new adventure game... Gah, the devil take their rotten souls. >:

... And I cannot read rezo's replies... o_o

I was doing some shopping at the japanese amazon.com site and had my computer on japanese text mode. It has it's own weird set of english characters to use and I guess some computers can't see them =\

AHH....... Grim Fandango, one of the greatest classic of the world

it is too short, but there is great replayability value..... have you guys heard the whole complete police officer conversation before? it is damn hilarious, you got to try it someday

as to wether is should have a sequel, NEVER! it is finish and it should remain that way lest lucasarts ruin the magic!

The one that just keeps rambling on while you can only say things like "oh, I see" and such?

Yes.

God, I loved that. XD
I also... just loved the voice acting in that game... in the German version, mind you. That's RARE. All the great Spanish accents. =D It was most awesome. Most memorable.

And rezo, yep, that'd explain stuff. I'm at my brother's useless PC, you know. X_x
