Are there any floating around out there? Almost every one I've found so far has been missing huge chunks of the soundtrack.

This is from the first 2.0 release. It includes ALL music from A realm Reborn from release. It doesn't include anything that has been released since then. (Most of which is on the OST for 1.0. For example the Halloween event music is "All Saint's Wake" on the Before Meteor OST. Also wont include the Lightning battle themes from the lightning returns event.)

Hopefully this can hold you over until we get some sort of OST release! I absolutely LOVE this game's music.

Thanks for that link Darkraven. :)

Just one thing though, a great deal of tracks were reused from 1.0, so quite a few tracks on that are already available on the previous 1.0 albums like Before Meteor (with full composer and track titles). I'll try and compile a list of ones I know of and post it here. :)

EDIT: here's what I've come up with so far:

'BGM Ban Garuda' - Fallen Angel - Masayoshi Soken (I've also seen it called 'Broken Angel' as well, but 'Fallen Angel' is the official SE title)
'BGM Ban Ifrit' - Primal Judgement - Nobuo Uematsu
'BGM Ban Titan' - Under the Weight - Masayoshi Soken (the track name was revealed in a recent 'Developer's Blog' post by Soken on the Lodestone)
'BGM Battle Dungeon 1' - The Promise of Plunder - Masayoshi Soken
'BGM Boss 3' - Nemesis - Nobuo Uematsu
'BGM Boss 4' - Pennons Aloft - Nobuo Uematsu

'BGM Con Teikou 01 Sido' - this is the same track as 'BGM Boss 1' in the same list
'BGM Con Teikou Boss' - Steel Reason - Nobuo Uematsu
'BGM Con Teikou Gaius' - this is actually a new arrangement of Rise of the White Raven by Masayoshi Soken, only without the choir (not surprising, given the lyrics were about Dalamud)
'BGM Dungeon Gri 03' - this is a partial arrangement of The Dark's Kiss and The Dark's Embrace, both by Nobuo Uematsu
'BGM Event 7th Umbral Era' - this is the ending theme and features a slow arrangement of Final Fantasy and The Prelude, both Nobuo Uematsu
'BGM Event Ansoku1' - Tranquility - Nobuo Uematsu
'BGM Event Ansoku2' - Where the Heart is - Nobuo Uematsu
'BGM Event Ascian' - Without Shadow - Nobuo Uematsu

'BGM Event Crystal' - a new arrangement of The Prelude by Nobuo Uematsu
'BGM Event CrystalHarpOnly' - another arrangement of The Prelude
'BGM Event Enterprise' - an arrangement of Airborne by Masayoshi Soken
'BGM Event FF2BossBattle' - actually misleading, it's a new arrangement of Battle I by Nobuo Uematsu (it was actually the normal battle theme from FFII, not a boss theme)

All the tracks in that rip are on Youtube (or at least, should still be on Youtube - it's likely they might be taken down by SE naturally). I have no idea what the Ultima Weapon battle theme is though - the only thing certain about it would be that it was composed by Masayoshi Soken.

Incidentally I've heard rumours that SE are planning on a new soundtrack album called, appropriately enough, After Meteor, but nothing is known for certian at this time, so take it with a grain of salt.

Download BGM_Event_PerfectAltima.mp3 from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way (http://www.sendspace.com/file/mctqsf) Here is the song you are looking for. As for the rest of the upload, I'm cleaning through the 1.0 music since we all have that on before Meteor and adding the new 2.1 music and I'll be reuploading. Just give me a little time. Id Like to "tag" the tracks as well, so this might take a little time (As you can see from my tags on that Ultima Battle theme, I've attempted to start haha)

Enkidoh:

Thanks for that list. i was just leaving all the reused tracks in there so we had a complete collection of what was in 2.0, but now i'm going to shrink it down because the filesize is quite unruly (over 1gb for an mp3 collection is insane haha) The list is going to make my job MUCH easier since I wont have to listen and cross reference with Before Meteor now, so thank you!

Second Edit:

In case anyone cares, imo the best track on here is the music when you are in the Praetorium. I feel that is probably the best final dungeon theme in ANY FF game. It is BGM_Con_Teikoku_02 for those who still have the rip and don't know where anything plays.

ANOTHER Edit:
I am about 50% done with this. I am tagging based on location and not official track titles, with a few exceptions. (The official title according to Soken for the Gaius battle theme [the arrange of "Rise of the white raven"] Is called "The Gaius Empire." I WAS going to name it "Rise of the Black Wolf," since that is Gaius' title just like Nael's title was White Raven.) Im going to try to finish tonight after my son goes to sleep.

Bump Time

Adding in and tagging 2.1 music. Then Ill be uploading!! Check this post in a bit!

I'm not adding in the hard mode dungeon theme or its battle theme since they are on the 1.0 OST, but I AM adding the combined version (When in battle, The Dark's Embrace and The Dark's Kiss play at the same time, overlapped, pasing in and out of intensity based on the battles)

FYI, I rescind my comment about the Praetorium being the best song in the game. Excuse my language, but HOLY FUCK the Pharos Sirius music is GODLY. http://www.sendspace.com/file/e6fggh <--Pharos Sirius music for those who dont want to wait for this behemoth to upload.

Darkraven, do you have a source for this track title? I'm just curious as I haven't come across any official info from SE stating the track name for Gaius's battle theme - although the FF Wiki has listed it as such, I wouldn't take that info as gospel though. Or maybe I just haven't looked in the right places (after all, Soken revealed the track title for the Titan theme not that long ago too so it's likely he's done the same with Gaius's theme). ;) The fact it's called a dull name like 'Gaius Empire' just doesn't fit the feel and context of the track, especially as to what the track was derived from as you mentioned.

Any info on this would be much appreciated. :) (And also thanks again for posting the rip too. ;))

There isn't any official info on this. It was just mentioned by Soken in a Facebook post (from me nonetheless lol) and I guess that is where FFWiki has that info sourced. I'm sure some of it is lost in translation since I don't think Soken actually speaks any English. The post was translated but it was broken like it was being processed by something like Google translate. I believe that is the only place it is mentioned. Long story short, No, I do not have an official source on that track title. If I do get any more info on this though I'll point you to it!

I also noticed I missed a few 1.0 tracks, but im not going to reupload just to get rid of those few. I even bothered to rename them (With official titles too!). So, blame my idiocy for that one haha

Yeah was just gonna mention that. (Happiness is the All Saints Wake theme, IIRC? Seven Jesters and The Promise of Plunder were on there too under different names, and To The Fore and The Tug of Fate are on Before Meteor under the same names)

111 is the track I've tentatively titled "Honoring the Hero" that's used during the celebration cutscene in between the city-state storylines and your character being appointed as an envoy/ambassador to the other nations. Also during that scene, you have an Echo flashback where you see the three Grand Company leaders watch Bahamut destroy stuff and are spied upon by Lahabrea, and that's where 116 (I've titled that "The Calamity") plays.

113 is the Before Meteor song "Relics". 119 is the Before Meteor song "Canticle".

Songs that I don't remember hearing in this rip:
Any of the new Victory Fanfares (WinLoop, Winshot01, Winshot02, Winshot03)
FFXIII - Blinded by Light (I'm not sure whether the version that played during the Lightning events was the same as on the FFXIII soundtrack or was a remix - if it was the same, then that's why it wouldn't be on here)
FFXIII - Glory's Fanfare (See above about my uncertainty)
The title screen version of the Prelude (which, as far as I can tell, is different from both the Before Meteor Prelude ~ Remembrance and the ARR character select Prelude) [Might be Event Crystal or System Title, or are they the same track, I can't tell - also, I'm not entirely certain it's different from Prelude ~ Remembrance? It sounds slightly different to me though)

Also, I remember hearing that Hildebrande's theme had a remix for a FATE event, but maybe that was referring to a future patch.

In any case, thank you very very much!

I think I can clarify a few of your points Jonah:

(Happiness is the All Saints Wake theme, IIRC?

The All Saint's Wake theme is called literally that on Before Meteor: All Saints' Wake by Nobuo Uematsu, as it's another track from 1.0. ;)

I can confirm that the versions of Blinded by Light and Glory's Fanfare that were both used in the recent FFXIII event in ARR were the actual FFXIII versions - they weren't remixed. And as an addition, Saber's Edge also appeared during the final battle for that event in Mor Dhona (against the Anubi enemies and the Aspect of Chaos).

I'm not sure what track it is on Darkraven's new rip (as I haven't downloaded that one yet), but on the previous one he posted it's titled 'BGM Event Crystal'. The other versions of the Prelude that appear in ARR are (using the previous rip titles): 'BGM Event CrystalHarpOnly' (new arrangement that played during the Echo scenes with the Mothercrystal), 'BGM System Chara' (the version you mentioned that plays on the character selection screen and during character creation - it also plays during the end credits in the previous rip track right at the end called 'BGM System EndCredit01'. I haven't yet uncovered the version from 1.0 in it though (Prelude ~ Remembrance), but it wouldn't surprise me if it just hasn't been found in the game yet.

Also, I remember hearing that Hildebrande's theme had a remix for a FATE event, but maybe that was referring to a future patch.

Hildibrand's quest line FATE does indeed have it's own special battle theme and victory theme, but I didn't think it was actually a remix of Agent of Inquiry (that doesn't necessarily mean it isn't!). But yeah, it wasn't actually in the game files until the 2.1 patch was released in December which added his questline into the game.

Anyway, hopefully this has helped shed some more light on the subject. :)

Ooh, so Hildibrand's FATE has its own battle and victory themes? I did the FATE and I didn't hear anything new in terms of battle themes...it was a few days ago, but I think they used BGM Event FF2BossBattle.

Thanks for the clarification on the Prelude and the Lightning events!

As I said, "Happiness" is the All Saints Wake theme (which, like Enkidoh says, was on 1.0 under the name "All Saints Wake"). Also, looks like "Spooked" is the new Sylphlands theme. Presumably for 2.2 there will be a new theme for the Sahagin stronghold?

Also, there are some small tracks not on this rip that play in dangerous areas. BGM Field Danger 1, BGM Field Danger 2, and BGM Field Danger 3. So those and the other 2 Prelude arrangements are the missing tracks, then.

Strangely enough, both Tempest and Rise of the White Raven (complete with the 1.0 lyrics) are in ARR's track database as well. I wonder if there'll be some sort of Duty Finder rematch that will let use face Nael van Darnus again, like with Ultima Weapon's new post-game hard mode?

Doh! You're right - Soken's now well known remix of FFII's Battle I plays during the actual Hildibrand FATE battle (the one in Southern Thanalan called 'Rotting Corpses Writhe in Style'), but there is a new 'FATE beginning' and 'victory' theme which resemble Hildibrand's theme used in it.

Also, looks like "Spooked" is the new Sylphlands theme. Presumably for 2.2 there will be a new theme for the Sahagin stronghold?I think SE added the new theme for the Sylphlands (and the hamlet of Little Solace too), to coincide with the introduction of the new 'Beastmen daily' quests which can be undertaken there. A new remix of the amalj'aa/Zan'rak theme from 1.0 (Nobuo Uematsu's Pitfire) also has been added in the stronghold of the Brotherhood of Ash in Southern Thanalan for the same reason. As the sahagin haven't had these special quests added yet I presume they will get a special theme eventually too.

Wow, that's interesting - although I haven't yet done it, apparently there's a hint at the end of the Binding Coil of Bahamut raid that is meant to show Nael van Darnus's silhouette (along with Louisoix's as well), so it;s led to a lot of rumours and speculation on the Lodestone that SE will be bringing the White Raven back for a special trial battle at a latter date. However, this contradicts what SE has said in the past - that Nael 'is dead' and his part in FFXIV is over and done with. But the existence of both his battle themes in the game files gives an interesting perspective - but it could also just be written off as dummy files (which FFXIV has had for ages - I mean Answers was included in version 1.0's files as well but was dummied out and never actually directly used anywhere in the game itself). Ah well, I guess we'll find out. :) Thanks for this info anyway. :D
