OK, you probably aready knew this by now, but there is a new Zelda title due out in the next year or two, simply calledthe legend of Zelda, its out for the game cube, and Link has finally grown up. I want to know peples opinions on the upcoming games and previous ones and how they compare to each other.

Oh by the way i got some images too -they were too big to put i the post, and here (http://media.cube.ign.com/media/572/572738/imgs_1.html) was the source of them if you are interested. - just surf the site you'll find it eventually.

I think The Legend of Zelda series has been slipping ever since the release of WW. I just couldn't find myself to become addictive to that game, because I was with the previous Zelda games. I mean, WW was ok, but that's it. No way did it deserve Game of the Year for Nintendo. I thought that was a sham! I enjoyed The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures a lot. It surprised me with how good it actually was.

The new Zelda game looks like OoT2. I don't know if I want it to be a sequel to the best Zelda game, IMO.

Well, I for one think the new Zelda looks awesome.

Here's hoping that the gameplay and storyline are on par with the graphics.

I don't know what it will be like, but I bet it won't top that all time classic, the Wind Waker!

... hi mmm

It looks good. I'm sure it will be a perfectly decent outing. ;-)

I hope it's better than Wind Waker. Cuz that was just a train wreck from hell. And the graphics annoyed me too, but as I always say "Graphics don't make the game, gameplay makes the game."

It looks to be shaping up though.

I agree that gameplay is much more important then graphics, but I don't think the graphics for Windwaker suited the game at all.

I would have much rather played something with cute little 8-bit sprites.

If the new Zelda game ends up playing like Wind Waker/Ocarina of TimeT/Majora's Mask... I'm going to go play something else. :(

As if Zelda gameplay ever varied from game to game. ":3

Ocarina of time rocked man! How can you say that?

(Taken form Gamesmaster) TLoZ: Wind Waker - 97% , it looks like that rocked too, and MM wasnt that great i admit.

I have no problem with Ocarina of Time...

I have a slight problem with Majora's Mask

I have a huge problem with Wind Waker...

Was it the graphics? Nope!

Was it the fact that they really aren't that innovative and featured a lot of the same thing? MOST LIKELY!

the new zelda wont be as annoying as WW because its based before the 'great flood'(which is why you had a gay boat). so instead of a boat Epona is back in it

Quite honestly, I don't care what world it takes place in, they just need to make the game more different from OoT/MM/WW.

Could it be a remake of the original from the NES, maybe?

Oh, wait, that's right, the storyline has essentially been exactly the same in every Zelda game ever made, except that one side-scroller Zelda.

Link's Awakening and the Oracles series were different... and if you want to count the CD-I version, I don't blame you. :o

It certainly looks good - However, nothing will defeat TLoZ: A Link to the Past.

Currently, it is titled "The Legend of Zelda GCN", but of course that is going to change as it nears the release date of next March.

No, I'm talking about the second Legend of Zelda game they came out with. The direct story sequel that revolved around Ganon's minions trying to kill Link so they could resurrect Ganon by sprinkling Link's blood on his corpse.

Zelda was also in some inconvenient coma, and Link's mission was to find a way to awaken her and put an end to the plans of Ganon's minions.

Personally I love The Zelda seris... But I almost want it to die. I'm afraid if another Wind Waker comes out then that will make the classics look bad. I don't know...

Also the story line is a bit confusing... because every link is supposedly is different and from a different era... I've faught about this soooo much that it hurts to think about it. Thats a whole other thread anyway.

Basicly, The legend of Zelda was a classic. But classics can only be streched so far before people start to dislike them.
