- UNCONFIRMED: In the latest issue of V-Jump magazine, Square Enix revealed that besides Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (video) and Final Fantasy VII: Before Crisis (mobile phone), there is another massive project surrounding the Final Fantasy VII, which will be revealed soon; and one of the character in the project seems to be Vincent from FFVII, a shadow resembles Vincent was painted on the magazine.

Final Fantasy 7, most money milking game in videogame history? Maybe it's time to move on Square!

I'm not surprised by this. I've been expecting it ever since I heard about Advent Children.

Sorry...this is the FF7 forum, please report it to an Admin or try your luck in the Help Forum. :)

Could you elaborate on what you're saying? Because there was few elements of FF in the story for example a character named Cid.

It was very FF-like...just not a good film. [/off topic]

Back to the topic...

Square ENIX can't help but think how 'seemingly' well their idea of a sequal for FFX went, and they just couldn't ignore the requests of the FF7 fans. Blame the fans who wanted something more of FF7. :x
I wish Square would stop, this is becoming far too much now. Aren't their pockets over flowing already?

FF7 was a masterpiece it needs no more.

I just finished FFVII myself and I didn't think it was all that great, though I did think it had the potential to be. If this new announcement turns out to be about a remake of FFVII, as I suspect it to be, I'd be happy to give it another shot if they take the time to give it the polishing it needs. Otherwise, I'll probably never play it again.

I'm not a huge FFVII fan, but I'm still looking forward to AC.

This is a bit much though. :(

I agree with Prak. FFVII wasn't a masterpiece, it was good. That's it. People just say it was soooo good because it was the first "mainstream" FF that got the series so awesomely well known. It was fun though and ever since I was 11 I wanted there to be another one of the FFVII games cause I liked it. AC looks like it will be a good investment, I just think that Square is making it for the wrong reasons. Before Crisis looks the same, possibly good but still made for cash.

FFVII was OK at best..

I am definitley not getting BC, due to the lack of a cell phone and the fact it sounds really stupid..

I'm not looking forward to, but will see, AC.

a remake might be okay.. but still, this is too much.

Nope, it was a masterpeice. While I'm not sure if making spin-offs is a good idea, I have yet to enjoy a Final Fantasy game as much as VII. and, yes, I have played other Final Fantasys. Besides, Square decided to make Advent children based on feedback from the fanbase, which obviously says that FFVII is the most popular, and for good reason. Now what I'm wondering is what so many people who seem to depreciate FFVII are doing here in the VII section? It's not like we're going around telling you how much your Final Fantasys suck. Then again, maybe we are, I don't spend too much time in the other forums, so I wouldn't know...

Unlike FFX, FF7 gets a Cell Phone game AND a movie... which makes it one cent higher than FFX.

Big woop.

FF:BC i am going to buy a cell phone just for it. why to play as the turks
and calling FF:BC stupid and you havent evan played it that
kinda of stupid
alot of ppl sayed KH was going to suck

Just because something is popular doesn't mean it's the best.

They seem to be talking about a FFVII Compilation, or the like.
Advent Children seems to be a part of it, Before Crisis another, and a third product seems to join the party. As long as you can buy these things together, it's fine and I won't complain.
It's like a box of fan-candy.

*shrugs*

And this is me saying it's okay, but at the same time I hope that afterwards, they'll focus on some other games series, or on new titles. And that they put the same creativity to use in the future, and use many different media for their projects. :(
