Ok, here is a detailed description on where and how to acquire all 26 Al Bhed Primers.


<B> Al Bhed Primer I-Located on the Al Bhed Salvage Ship: </B>

After you defeat Klikk, you will be abducted by the Al Bhed and forced to work on their ship. While you are on the ship's deck, you can talk to the soldier on the left to get three Potions. Behind the soldier is a Save Sphere, with the Al Bhed Primer I on the ground to the right of it.


<B> Al Bhed Primer II-Located in Besaid Village; inside Crusader's Lodge: </B>

After Yuna summons Valefor for the first time, you participate in a campfire celebration that night. Talk to Yuna, then speak with Wakka and choose the option to sleep. When you awaken the next morning inside the Crusader's Lodge, examine the lodge attendant's desk for the Al Bhed Primer II.


<B> Al Bhed Primer III-Located on the S.S. Liki; in the Engine Room: </B>

While you are aboard the ship headed for Kilika, head to the Engine Room. There will be two chocobos in here. Search the bottom corner of the room to acquire the Al Bhed Primer III


<B> Al Bhed Primer IV-Located in Kilika; in the Tavern: </B>

After you witness the destruction of Kilika by Sin, Yuna performs The Sending. The next morning, one of the Aurochs will inform Tidus that Wakka is waiting for him. Don't go to him yet. Instead, head south to the local Tavern. You will find the Al Bhed Primer IV on the counter.


<B> Al Bhed Primer V-Located on the S.S. Winno; in the Bridge: </B>

While aboard this ship, ascend the stairs to the upper deck. Tidus will overhear Wakka and Lulu having a conversation. Return to the lower deck, and head for the bridge. The Al Bhed Primer V is on the floor.


<B> Al Bhed Primer VI-Located in Luca Stadium; Basement B: </B>

After you have learned how to Blitz, Yuna hears that Auron is somewhere in Luca. She wants Tidus to help her look for him. Upon leaving the locker room, head left to the next stairway down. This is where the opposing team is located. As soon as you enter this screen, there are two players to the left of you. One is leaning on the wall, while the other is right next to him. Check behind the foot of the guy not leaning on the wall. The Al Bhed Primer VI is there on the ground.


<B> Al Bhed Primer VII-Located in the Luca Theater; Reception: </B>

After Yuna has been kidnapped, Lulu, Tidus, and Kimahri must rescue her from the Al Bhed ship at Dock 4. You encounter Oblitzerator on this ship. Defeat it, and rescue Yuna. As soon as you have her back with you, return to the Luca Theater. Go to the area inside the theater lobby to find the Al Bhed Primer VII on the floor to the left.


<B> Al Bhed Primer VIII-Located on the Mi'ihen Highroad: </B>

While on your journey through here, you stop and rest at Rin's Travel Agency. After you have finished with stocking up on items or conversing with the locals in here, leave. Before you get out the door, Rin will introduce himself. He will give Tidus the Al Bhed Primer VIII. You can't miss this one, since it is automatically given to you.


<B> Al Bhed Primer IX-Located on the Mi'ihen Highroad; Newroad,
North: </B>

As you continue your journey past the Travel Agency, you will notice Shelinda fall while trying to leap a gorge. Make your way towards her. While heading for her, keep an eye out for the Al Bhed Primer IX. It is located near a stone henge, and two small trees.


<B> Al Bhed Primer X-Located on Mushroom Rock Road; Precipice: </B>

This one is difficult to find. Move past the Save Sphere, and head west. If you look on the map, you should see a path that loops around, almost resembling a full circle. Use the on-screen map to find a narrow western path leading out to a small ledge. This is where you will find the Al Bhed Primer X.


<B> Al Bhed Primer XI-Located on Djose Highroad: </B>

Move past the Save Sphere. While strolling down this path, you will notice a treasure chest on the left. Inside, are two Phoenix Downs. Move directly across the path from this chest and search behind a spiky rock to find the Al Bhed Primer XI.


<B> Al Bhed Primer XII-Located in Moonflow; North Wharf: </B>

After you have defeated the Extractor, you will arrive in Moonflow, via the Shoopuf. Use the Save Sphere, then advance to the next area. Here, you will notice that O'aka is selling medicines. Walk up onto the platform just above O'aka. Here, on the ground, is where you will find the Al Bhed Primer XII.


<B> Al Bhed Primer XIII-Located in Guadosalam; House: </B>

After Rikku provides you with a short tutorial on how to Customize, you will rest for the night. You start off the next morning inside an inn. Before you enter the red double doors, head for the buildings to stock up on items, and to earn more goodies. Inside a house, you can find a hidden treasure chest at the very back of the room, which contains 3,000 Gil. Inside this same room, is the Al Bhed Primer XIII. Look on the ground for it.


<B> Al Bhed Primer XIV-Located in the Thunder Plains; Travel Agency: </B>

Halfway through the Thunder Plains, is a Travel Agency. Inside, speak with Rikku. After you have done this, Rin will emerge from the corridor. He then asks you how your study of the Al Bhed language is coming. Answer him by choosing the top option, and he will give you the Al Bhed Primer XIV.


<B> Al Bhed Primer XV-Located in Macalania Woods; Lake Road: </B>

Near the end of your trek through the Macalania Woods, you will encounter O'aka. He is standing close to a Save Sphere. On the ground across from O'aka, look for the Al Bhed Primer XV.


<B> Al Bhed Primer XVI-Located in Lake Macalania; Agency Front: </B>

After you leave Macalania Woods, you will notice another Travel Agency. Standing by it, is a chocobo, and Clasko. The Al Bhed Primer XVI is on the ground to the left of the Agency.


<B> Al Bhed Primer XVII-Located in Sanubia Desert; Central: </B>

When you come to the Save Sphere, head left. You will head down a sandy path. There are ruins in this western area of the desert. Inside one of these ruins, is the Al Bhed Primer XVII.


<B> Al Bhed Primer XVIII-Located in Sanubia Desert; Central: </B>

Return to the Save Sphere, then head north. Located next to the wooden marker near the end of the screen, is the Al Bhed Primer XVIII.


<B> Al Bhed Primer XIX-Located in Al Bhed Home: </B>

After you have met Cid outside of Home, search around the area. You can search the dead body for two Hi-Potions. Near the Save Sphere, is where you will find the Al Bhed Primer XIX.


<B> Al Bhed Primer XX-Located in Al Bhed Home; Living Quarters: </B>

When your party advanced to the center area, you will be attacked by a Guado Guardian and other enemies. Defeat them, then follow the party out of this area. After Cid gives you a warning, you will be attacked again, this time by a Guado Guardian and two Dual Horns. Defeat these enemies as well, then descend the stairs. Next, turn around and head back down the south corridor and enter the living quarters on the left. In this room are two treasure chests. The Al Bhed Primer XX is resting on the bed.


<B> Al Bhed Primer XXI-Located in Al Bhed Home; Main Corridor: </B>

Exit the living quarters and descend the stairs. You can grab the four Al Bhed Potions from the partially hidden treasure chest to the left. Then, move straight up the corridor across the intersection. Another treasure chest in this area contains six more Al Bhed Potions. Finally, move up the eastern diagonal corridor and search for the Al Bhed Primer XXI on the floor. It is near the blue-lit door.


<B> Al Bhed Primer XXII-Located in Bevelle Temple; Priests' Passage: </B>

After Yuna and the others have made their separate escapes, you can use a Save Sphere before you descend into the temple. You can either run down the circular staircase, or use the machina panel at the top. Either way, head down to the Cloister of Trials. After you have gotten off the staircase, you will be outside the cloisters entrance. Before you enter, search for the Al Bhed Primer XXII, which will blend in with the floor.


<B> Al Bhed Primer XXIII-Located in The Calm Lands; Central: </B>

Travel to the northwest corner of The Calm Lands. You will find the Al Bhed Primer XXIII near the cliff's edge.


<B> Al Bhed Primer XXIV-Located near Remiem Temple: </B>

You can only reach Remiem Temple with the help of a chocobo. Ride back to the south entrance of The Calm Lands, then head east to the cliff above the two treasure chests. While still mounted on the chocobo, examine the chocobo feather on the ground to leap into a new area of The Calm Lands. After dismounting the chocobo, run up the path to Remiem Temple. Cross the long bridge, and you will notice a Save Sphere. Head west from here, to the end of the path. There is a sphere that explains how to race chocobos around Remiem Temple. Behind this sphere, is the Al Bhed Primer XXIV.


<B> Al Bhed Primer XXV-Located in The Calm Lands; Cavern of the Stolen Fayth: </B>

In The Calm Lands, circle past the right side of the bridge that leads to Mt. Gagazet. Descend into the gorge below. There is a Save Sphere down here, and to the left of it, the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth. Enter, and make your way through. Continue through the cavern, until you reach the Save Sphere. If you turn around, you will be at an intersection. One way leads to a treasure chest, filled with Mega-Potion (x2). The other way leads to the Al Bhed Primer XXV.


<B> Al Bhed Primer XXVI-Located in the Omega Ruins: </B>

From the entrance, move into the corridor to the left. Continue on a straight path, passing up a small alcove on your left, which contains three treasure chests. Keep heading straight, until you come to the first intersection. Head right here, and continue straight. Pass the dormant glyph on the wall. As you near the next intersection, you will notice the Al Bhed Primer XXVI on the ground.

The second time I played (haven't finished yet) after I picked up my first primer and got to a compilation sphere, I let it compile and it found everything on the card - including everything I found in the last game. So if you don't write over your old game when you go back to play, then it will find all the ones you have on your card. They won't be available to find again, but it is cool because you can read almost everything right off the bat.

I never bothered trying to find the Al Bhed primers one of my freinds tryed learning a couple of words from the Al Bhed it was kinda sad but he did'nt get far.

This guide helped me alot, i was surprised when i went through the game again and saw where the missing primers were lying.
I never found the XX primer though i checked every corner in the living quarter and still can't find it >:O

That was the hardest primer for me too. You have to go back into a room when your in the corridor. The game automatically moves Tidus into the corridor so you have to go back into the room yourself or something like that.

Hit triangle and see where you are. You need to be in Basement B, you're probably in Basement A
