Basically what it says on the tin. What is your favourite RPG soundtrack?

For me, the strongest RPG soundtrack is in Grandia. The themes used help punctuate the emotion within the scenes and the characters, and provide the correct atmosphere for the particular levels. I'm also a fan of the first Wild Arms soundtrack. Some very catchy tunes therein. :)

I have to admit that I haven't played a lot of the recent RPG's but I always thought that the Lufia games had really good music. It just seemed that everything went really well with each part of the game.

I have to agree with BZ. Grandia's soundtrack was great. ;)

Oh wow. Probably Chrono Trigger or Secret of Mana. Can't decide between them.

Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy VI and Final Fantasy IX have the best soundtracks in my opinion.

Xenogears and Chrono Trigger had thier strongpoints.

Vagrant Story, FFTactics. Hitoshi Sakimoto can do no wrong! Favorite soundtracks, favorite vgm artist.

He also had some inspiring work in BoF:DQ and Legaia Duel Saga. X3

Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 1, 4, 5 & 6, Pokmon, Tales of Phantasia, Tales of Symphonia, Seiken Densetsu, Mother (of course) and the extra rare Estopolis soundtrack collection (the one from the Lufia games)

Well done reviving a 4 year old thread that's completely useless now that we have the VGM forum.
