oh yeah. they are making a new ip man.... too bad it is not either kenji kawai or movie by Wilson Yip. Though the third, being completely different was not that bad.

This movie is one of the worst ip man film but it is much better than wong kar wai's grandmaster(stylish visual effects only)

The Wilson yip movies are very good, though I am a bit fan of his movies, so I might be fan-boy talking here. But I loved the first 2 movies. The third which was the prequel, yeah, just some movie made because that other director felt like doing it, but the movie was pretty good. The action and martial arts scenes were just genius.
Aside that... I want more Donnie Yen movies XD

Oh, and this soundtrack is good. Not regretting downloading it. :p

Ip Man: A Legend Is Born and Ip Man: The Final Fight have the same music composer.

The third movie (Ip Man: A Legend Is Born) directed by Herman Yau is not a prequel but another semi-biographical film. We can notice the different quality between Wilson Yip's movies and Yau's one...

The actor chosen fro Ip Man: A Legend Is Born as Ip Man, was not bad at all. At first I was like "meh", but he does the job well. The guy is damn faster with all those moves. Of course the thing that made me feel stupid was the fact Yau used actors already existent in the Wilson's Ip Man movie. I was like "Time Paradox Alert" even though they were different characters.
Wilson's movie, tend to be much more artistic and much more moral and spiritual sighting to be delivered to us. Yau is a normal movie director, which not much of artistic mind on it.
