I don't know if this happens in any of the other installments. I only have DotHack//Infection and in some of the fields that I have gone to (snowy ones in particular) I have noticed something strange. It starts with this wierd sound that comes from the sky. When I look in the sky and find what is making the noise, I see what looks like wierd shaped ships carrying a huge body. The body has a bloody chest and looks to be like a woman shape or something. Has anyone else seen this? Does anyone know what it is??

It could be Aura, i've seen parts of the game and am watching the series' of the anime just now, is it set when kite's player is the legendary dot hacker or is his player Oni-Chan? because i'm not quite sure when the game is set relative to the series

I never noticed that fleet flying around over the fields before. The only time I saw it was when it was a field itself. In one of the games, that appears as a bonus level after you finish the main game.

I am currently on the fourth one. The body you see is actually a board you can play on! Upon completion of the first game you recieve a bonus keyword to that board and at the end you fight a boss that I would HIGHLY recomend Data draining it (Unique item only possible to obtain in that battle) all of the dot hack games give you a bonus stage at the end for you to level up and have fun and whatnot.

The characters in the game are sometimes referenced in the anime, liminality focuses on the real world aspect of the world. The main characters friend known as Sieg is a rival of Balmung's
in the world. THe anime with shugo and reyna (currently on cartoon network on friday nights) is after the end of all of the dot hack games. The anime with Tsukasa and mimiru and them actually occur in the same time of the game.
