well, it makes sense, since he was only like what, 15- 18 in human years, but he was actully already alot older then that, so the idea of him still being alive 100 years later is possible

Well we don't know how old the cubs are, for all we know they could only be, 70 years old or something, I mean, he's had 500 years to have them so we can't be sure when they were born...

This doesn't make any sense to me...

Red is a four legged creature, whose parents were also four legged creatures, well atleast his father was, as you can see for your selves in Disk One in the caves at Cosmo Canyon. Now, Bugenhagen is his grandfather, but he is not a four legged creature. Although he has the life span, similar to that of Reds species. But in Disc two Cait Sith, on the high wind when you have to take Bugenhagen to the forgotten city, refers to Bugenhagen as a man. So how does Red have a grandfather that isn't the same species but has a similar life span?

Possibly, heres a thought..

Bugenhagen did work for shinra, maybe the had something to do with his life span? Or maybe he's an ancient, but don't ancients have regular human life spans? Or another idea, he was the same species as Red but Hojo or Gast altered his appearance?
