ewww no! i got a little teary at the end (i cry at hallmark commercials for pete's sake), but that scene was retarded. that ANNOYING music got on my FREAKIN nerves, and the concept of them swimming around was RETARDED. but maybe its just me.

The song that was played during that scene, "Suteki Da Ne", is one of the best songs in the game. Yes, I did cry when I watched that scene, which is one of my all-time favorite game scenes ever now.

I can't remember a game which has the depth of emotion that this game has.

I cried during that scene. I also cried at the end. Especially since Yuna couldn't feel Tidus hugging her... *tears up agin* And I love the song played during the Macalania scene. Isn't it called "Isn't It Wonderful?" in English?

I didnt cry at all playing this game. But is was very emotional. At lake macalania i was more happy than sad since Tidus and Yuna finally got together. I was like " oh yeah! you go girl! go get your man". ;)

The ending though was very bittersweet and i did get a little teary. i did cry however after i finished the game, and watched the credits and that little scene at the end. Cuz thats when i realized the game was really over. :(

Why would we cry? Well, that's what happens when people get emotional. We get all sad inside, our eyes start to water, and then we cry.

Make sense?

I cried for a week! That was one scene I could not get off my brain! And being the 'obsessive' person I am I got really angry coz I really 'love' Tidus so much. And please don't criticise (think dats rite?) me and say why do u love tidus wen he is a CGI? I have been thru all dat s*** b4 and I have had anuf of it. I love Tidus for many reasons and the list is so long! But I cried at the ending as well! I was so sad!

I don't know why I didn't cry at the end of the game. It was so sad and I felt i wanted to scream and cry and bite my pillow but I just keeped on watching the ending scene and then when it was over I had a huge disapointment. I said to my self, I hope Yuna will be together with Tidus but noo000OO! Of course not, Squaresoft must do something like this. Ah well. Lifes tough. I really don't see a reason to cry on this particular scene being that is was a happy one, I don't know why people cry during good things. It's called tears of joy. Tears are not brought on only by tradgedy or a depressing event, tears are caused by extreme emotion of any kind (i.e. love, joyfulness, excitement). I almost cried, but I didn't. The end made me cry though.

I was happy about Final Fantasy X-2 until I played it. I still think it is a real pile of shit. I loved the bleak outlook of the first game and how Tidus whined more than a Weezer fan after a Nazi skinhead savaged his vinyl collection. FFX-2 was too girly for me...and I am certainly not a macho guy. I just couldn't relate to it.

Seekerr
02-27-2005, 03:09 AM
Now, while I did not actively cry, the ending movie did hit me emotionally. Showing emotion is not a sign of weakness it's a sign of humanity. The whole theme of the game was "Sacrificial Love" and that's more powerful than anything else. That's why I hope and that's what I saw through the whole game. My hope is explained in John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, so that who ever believes in him may not perish, but have eternal life..." I saw that represented very well within the ending scene of FFX. When someone dies for another, that's powerful. It may not actually be real within FFX, but none the less, the fact that such ideas still still exist within this world is proof of a God preserving the idea. Sacrificial Love has no place in a secular post-modern society, that's how I know my God is there and active. And no, Sacrifical love is not human. Humanity is not civil and as a whole doesn't care about the rest of itself, recent events and apathy from citizens of France, England, and even America is further proof of this.

This game really is a sad game, all over. At the end (the first time I saw it), I didnt cry.. I just sat there, staring at the "the end" sign for about an half an hour, trying to find out a way to have my revenge at Squaresoft. I get stomach ache everytime I hear the orchestread version of Suteki Da Ne, also, the ending theme in piano. Now Im making videos that makes my friends cry instead ;P

The scene where Tidus finds out about Yuna dying, was really a surprise for me. And it was so sad, for him to react that way.. -sob- . I agree Yunalesca Rox, I dont think I will ever forget about Final Fantasy, not as long as I live. Crying at video games... Uhhh...

*Tries really hard to suppress need to mock everyone*

Whatever floats your boat, I guess. It was good to see Tidus and Yuna together. The breaking of the laws of reality (WTF!?! How the HELL do they breath?!) kinda killed some of it, though.

And the ending made me happy. The part where Tidus slaps Ject's hand made it feel concluded. And, though crushed, it looked like Yuna was going to move on.

Then there was that little bit after the credits. That stunt almost killed the game for me. Why does Square allways have to end with the hero and the girl together? Doing that is what made FF9 so terrible...

I never understood how Zidane survived at the end, but oh well. Anyway back on topic, no I never cried about any sceen in any video game to date. Example, When Aeries(SP) died I was glad because she was annoying(SP) and I didn't like her character.

Zidane survived cause Zidane was a pimp, warrior, hero, and legend. Tidus died cause he had some WIERD ass pants, played a awesomely addictive, YET RETARDED game, he was unbelievably gay and he liked Yuna instead of Lulu and his final limit break is goofy and it took me 1000000 years to get that shyt.

Other than that it was a very touching scene. I didn't cry but I didn't go (LOL IMA MAKE FUN OF THE PEOPLE CRIED LOL).

Well thats how I see it in my opinion but others may see it in a different way...and yes before you ask...I am obsessed.
Anyways laters peeps

Just finished FFX (40 hours! Never played a game this long - now to complete it properly!) and the end absolutely killed me! Despite knowing how it was going to happen since the scene with the Fayth, and that Tidus / Yuna was going to happen since, well, the beginning really, I STILL managed to cry at it! But as for the woods, they made me laugh!

I've never cried at a video game, and only choked up once or twice at films (including the FF film), but I was actually in tears. Man, may Squaresoft live forever, if only for their storylines, they rule! Though I agree with some of Dragoncurry's sentiments (minus the addictiveness of blitzball, which I hated, and the lulu thing - Uhh, lulu / wakka anyone?)

Anyone know if it's possible to get the end sequence to play again without battling Jeckt, Yu Yevon and all the Aeons again without setting one-hit-kill on?

Squaresoft is dead. It's Square Enix now. And for the ending thing, just download it.

Macalania lake is definitely one of the best fmv's out of the whole game. The graphics along with the music are so amazing! I can just watch it over and over again. This scene sure made me teary-eyed!

Macalania Lake is one of the best fmv's in the entire game! The graphics are unbelievable and combined with Suteki Da Ne just took me really into another world. I loved it! It was just such a beautiful and touching scene!

I think we ALL cried at the Final Fantasy film.More of a supressed laughter/pity cry though. It was really really bad.

I didn't cry @ the lake FMV, but I was a little 'WTF? NOO! I NEED HER FOR MY PARTY!' when Tidus finds out Yuna dies when she summons the final Aeon.
